Officers Heavy Cavalry Waist Belt Plate circa 1800-1820, gilt rectangular plate with fine quality silver (not hallmarked) laurel leaves, GR and Crown cypher to the centre. Reverse of the plate has clip and straight bar fitting. Four rivets on the reverse with pins holding central section of the plate. Reverse has makers mark of R JOHNSON 68 ST JAMES'S ST. Generally good condition.

Great War Grouping of Letters and Ephemera Relating to The Leeds Pals and Leeds Flag Day Committee, Including a hand written note dated 4-9-16 to the Leeds Flag Day Committee which is signed by J C Hartley commanding officer of the Leeds Pals. Most of the letters in the grouping are written by Leeds men who received parcels and gifts from the charity during their service in WW1. One such letter details the gift of a Football, the receiver stated the Germans have not left the ground in a good condition for playing a game. Some postcards sent from German prisoner of war camps and a silk ribbon commemorating the death of 1154 Private R Hill West Yorkshire Regiment (Leeds Pals) killed in action 24th March 1918. One letter in the grouping is from the father of a soldier who was killed in action, asking for details of how he was killed. Generally in good condition. (Approx 65 items)

Five Great War Regimental Histories including Artists Rifles Regimental Roll of Honour and War Record 1914-1919 Third Edition published in 1922, The History of the 9th (Scottish) Division 1914-1919 published 1921, The Story of the 55th Division 1916-1919 published 1919, Historical Records of The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) 3rd foot 1914-1919 by Colonel R S H Moody and The Second Twentieth the history of the 2/20th London Regiment published 1920. Great War Medal & Paperwork Grouping of Private Rowland Leslie Hill Royal Army Medical Corps & Royal Berkshire Regiment, the medals consist of 1914-15 star trio named 36576 PTE R L HILL R.A.M.C. His dog tags which accompany the medals give the regimental number of 42036 and serving with the 7th Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment. A folder of original paperwork accompanies the medals and this includes pages from his original diary written during the Gallipoli campaign in 1915, the diary mentions actions against Turkish forces, being wounded in the knee, serving with the Australians and New Zealand forces (ANZAC) etc. Other items of paperwork include photographs, discharge papers, newspaper cuttings, returned great coat form, plus more. A typed account of Rowland Leslie Hills life accompanies the medals.
A rare Italian 1953 Kristall R rangefinder camera fitted with a Travenon 35mm f3.5 lens. Also a 105mm f3.5 Trinol Anastigmat lens, Leitz VIDOM adjustable viewfinder, a further frame type viewfinder, Leitz FILCA cassette and a boxed Leitz FISON lens hood (6). CONDITION REPORT Body serial number 20304 is in good condition with slight marking to the bottom plate and back. The shutter/wind-on mechanism is working. The flash shoe has become detached but is included. The 35mm lens is clear but the diaphragm is not working at present. The 105mm has marks around the filter ring.
Rene Paul Marquet (French, 1875-1939). A gilt bronze and carved ivory and enamel figure, 'Princess Una', applied with cabochon, turquoise and lapis lazuli stones and holding a book, with enamelled George and the Dragon decorated panel, on rectangular pink onyx base, signed R. Marquet and numbered 6077, 14.5in.
