NO RESERVE Gillman (James) A dissertation on the bite of a rabid animal; being the substance of an essay which received a prize from the Royal College of Surgeons in London, in the year 1811, first edition, folding hand-coloured aquatint plate of a rabid dog's stomach, offsetting, plate split neatly along 1 fold, some spotting, ink signature of a John Thomson along inner margin of title, modern calf-backed marbled boards, rare in commerce, 8vo, R. Taylor for J. Callow, 1812.⁂ Gillman was a London surgeon and friend of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, writing the life of the latter in 1838.
