Military General Service Medal 1793-1814 Royal Staff Corps, example with two clasps, Vittoria and Toulouse. Medal awarded to “S WRIGHT R. STAFF CORPS”. Medal has some contact marks to edge and first bar, also been cleaned. Stephen Wright is confirmed on the roll, noted as sold Inman sale July 1896 and Glendining’s August 1934.
Irish Guards Officers Cap Star, fine quality silver and enamel example made by J R Gaunt London, stamped with “S” to the reverse. Complete with two lug fittings. Accompanied by a small pattern two piece officers silvered and enamel badge with two lug fittings on reverse and a two piece silvered and brass cap star with two lug fittings on the reverse. WW1 Stockbrokers Battalion 10th Royal Fusiliers 1914-15 Star Trio and Silver Wound Badge Group, medals were awarded to “STK-840 PTE W J STEWART R-FUS”. Medals are mounted in a period glazed frame along with his silver wound badge. Frame measures 31 x 31cms. We have been unable to remove the back of the frame to inspect the 1914-15 star, but the back does never appear to have been removed since framing.

Accompanied by regimental cap badge, tunic button, Warrant Officer arm crown and peace medal.

Rare George V Territorial Force Efficiency Medal 32nd County of London Regiment, the medal was awarded to “841934 PTE H MARRIOTT 32/LOND R”. On 1st January 1917 the 108th provisional battalion at Frinton in 226th Brigade became the 32nd Battalion. It had been formed in June 1915 from home service personnel. July 1917 Walton-on-the-Naze. Disbanded 13th April 1918. Very few territorial force efficiency medals were issued to the 32nd County of London.
Rare Victorian Foul Weather Officers Lance Cap, light weight black leather covered helmet having gilt metal lion head side bosses. Leather covered dome fitting to represent the rosette. Interior has the leather sweatband and crimson cloth lining with Sanderson & Sons tailors details to the crown. Sweatband with ink initials of the original owner “C L R A”. Front peak of a different finish to the body of the helmet.
Victorian Queens South Africa Medal Royal Field Artillery, medal with five clasps, Cape Colony, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill and Belfast. Medal was awarded to “68537 DVR R SMITH 83RD BTY R.F.A”. Ghost dates to the reverse of the award. Medal remains in good condition. Richard Smith was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1866. He joined the Royal Artillery at Preston on the 4th September 1888. He served in India and South Africa during his period of service. The medal roll shows entitlement to all five clasps.
Kings South Africa Medal Worcestershire Regiment, with two clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. Awarded to “2373 PTE F DRAPER WORCESTER R”. Medal is complete with original ribbon and has nice patina. Private Frederick Draper was from New Town, Worcester and enlisted in the Worcester regiment on 1st April 1889 aged 18 years and 1 month, he was a labourer by trade. He served with the regiment in the UK, India and South Africa. He is entitled to the Queens South Africa medal also. He was discharged from the army in 1904 as medically unfit for military service.
