Rich in colour work of a witch creeping through a woodland area, flanked by animals including hares, bats, owls & a cat. Signed ‘R. JAMES WILLIAMS’ to lower left. Framed and glazed with title label affixed to verso. Richard James Williams was a British artist and the headmaster of the Worcester School of Arts and crafts. He was the editor of and major contributor to their periodical, The Three Pears. Williams also illustrated numerous Children’s books. 26cm x 39.5cm.
