A Great War Casualty Pair to Captain J. G. Clayton, Dorsetshire Regiment. attd. 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, 1914-15 Star (2. Lieut. J. G. Clayton. Dorset R.), British Victory Medal (Capt. J. G.Clayton.) Captain James Gardner of the Dorsetshire Regiment, fell on the 20th of August 1916, aged 21 years, Son of Mr A. G. and Mrs L. H. Clayton of Glastonbury, Somerset, he has no known grave, but is Remembered with Honour at the Bazentin -Le-Petit Communal Cemetery.
