Converted to oil burning in 1947 and re numbered 3903 then converted back to coal burning in 1950 and reverted back to 4907. Allocated to Old Oak Common, St Philips Marsh, Weymouth, Swindon, Llanelli, Oxford, Southall, Worcester and 86C Hereford from where it was withdrawn in August 1963 and scrapped. In face restored condition, rear stamped R Lot No 254 No 4907 indicating this is the Right hand plate. Broughton Hall is near to Skipton North Yorkshire.

In lightly cleaned original condition and stamped in the back LOT 296 5034 R IN indicating this is the right hand plate. Named after the 11th Century fortification overlooking the Swanage Railway in Dorset.

The rear of the plate is R indicating this is the right hand plate.

Nameplate MERLIN Ex 0-6-0 DM built by Hudswell Clark in 1951 as D 762 and delivered new to the Port Of Bristol Authority and numbered D23 and named Merlin. Sold in 1971 to R. O. Hodgson Ltd. of the English China Clay Group where it was used at their general warehouse at Carnforth, Lancashire and now preserved on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Rectangular cast brass face restored, measures 27in x 5.5in.
