Lot 128

FAMILY - SECOND GENERATION WOMAN C/W I'AM (SIC) COMIN HOME (UNRELEASED) - EMIDISC 7" ACETATE. Absolutely wicked piece of early Family history with this 1968 double sided acetate of Second Generation Woman c/w I'am (sic) Comin Home, the latter track unreleased. The 'A' side Second Generation Woman is also a different version to the commercial release with this effectively a demo of the track. 'I'am Comin Home' is a cracking little R&B mover starting off with a funky drum intro with a 12 bar blues progression the main basis of the track. The chorus is similar in style to the '67 Spencer Davis Group cut 'I'm A Man'. The acetate is in well presented VG+ condition showing some light and minor surface marks, these not heavier in nature. With only a little wear to the aluminium lacquer. The tracks are handwritten on the Emidisc labels with a stamp for 'M.D. Recording Studios' on both sides (the studio stamp also on the white outer sleeve). The record plays through very well on both sides. Please get in touch for a sample of the audio.

Absolute holy grail time now for fans of Heavy UK Prog/Psych with this fantastic condition copy of the legendary 1971 LP from Leaf Hound. The record (Decca SKL-R 5094) is in fantastic Ex+ condition. Presented in superlative condition, there are just a couple of extremely faint, fine and wispy paper marks, these as stated and barely visible! The extremely clean labels showing just a couple of very light spindle marks indicate that this copy has been played sparingly. A final upgrade. Matrix/mother stampers: XZAL-10643P-1D 1 U & XZAL-10644P-1D 1 B. The sleeve is in sharp Ex condition. Lovely and clean, there are a couple of light creases, perhaps moreover noted on the front bottom right corner/reverse bottom left corner.
