Copenhagen was famously riden by the Duke of Wellington at Waterloo although he tried to kick the Duke when he dismounted after the battle. He died in 1836 at the age of 28 and was buried with full military honours at the Dukes country estate at Stratfield Saye. (1)

*George V (King of England, 1865-1936). Document signed, 3rd March 1910, a printed commission with manuscript insertions appointing Edwin Poulden Fenton Stamper to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Special Reserve of Officers, signed at head above wafer seal George R. I., vertical folds, oblong folio. A curiosity as it is a printed form detailing King Edward VIIs details but clearly signed by George V. King Edward VII had been staying at Biarritz in March 1910 when he collapsed. He remained there to convalesce and his continued ill health was unreported. He returned to Buckingham Palace on 27th April and died on 6th May 1910. It would seem that the then Prince of Wales signed as though he were already King. (1)

Ladbrooke (Robert, 1770-1842). Views of the Churches in Norfolk, Illustrative of Blomefields History of that County, from Original Drawings by R. Ladbrooke, 2 vols., printed and published by J.B. Ladbrooke, Norwich, Feb., 1823, calligraphic litho. title to each, 240 uncol. litho. views of churches in Norfolk, including Aylsham Church where Humphrey Repton is buried (vol. 1, plt. 101), a.e.g., contemp. olive-green gilt and blind-panelled straight-grained morocco, a little rubbed and corners bumped, oblong 4to. Ladbrooke, Robert (1768-1842), landscape painter, was born at Norwich but little is known of his early life. He was apprentice to an artist and printer named White when he met and befriended John Crome, his contemporary. Along with Crome, Ladbrooke took a leading part in the establishment of the Norwich Society of Artists in 1803 and in 1809 Ladbrooke was nominated for the President of the Society. Between 1821 and 1822 he devoted himself to a collection of 700 lithographs of Norfolk churches with the assistance of his son, John Burley Ladbrooke. This project was published only posthumously in five volumes in 1843. Few of Ladbrookes paintings appear to have survived ... (Oxford Dictionary of National Biography). (2)
