POOLE R.W. KENT R.), Memorial Plaque in original card folder (FREDERICK HENRY POOLE), together with Frederick Poole in walking out dress, the back annotated 'Pte F.H. Poole, R.W. Kent Regt. Killed in Action 24th April 1915, letter from the Infantry Record Office, Hounslow dated 8th June 1915 informing Pte Poole's family of his death in action, letter from the Infantry Records Office dated 7th March 1921 accompanying the BWM and Victory Medals to Poole's family, born in august 1897 at Dalston, Middlesex, Frederick Poole enlisted 11th September 1913 at Maidstone, and was posted to the 1st Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment at Dublin, he entered France 10th November 1914 as part of 13th Infantry Brigade, 5th division, which fought at Mons. Le Cateau, and 1st Ypres, and was Killed in Action on 27th April at the Battle of St Julien, part of the 2nd Battle of Yore when 13 Brigade was under the command of V Corps.

R.), together with a watch fob with brass fob and a silver medallion, Birmingham 1918, embossed to one side with the badge of the Machine Gun Corps surrounded by the legend 'MACHINE GUN COMPANY' over an engraved '84th', and engraved to the other side 'OFFICERS CHARGERS, PTE. A. DAY', Private Algie Ernest Day of the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment entered France on 16th January 1915 as part of 28th Division, also served with the Machine Gun Corps with the number 49996, 84th (Brigade) Machine Gun Company was formed on 18th May 1916 from the machine gun sections of 2nd Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, 1st Bn Suffolk Regiment, 2nd Bn Cheshire Regiment, 1st Bn Welsh Regiment, 28th Division fought at 2nd Battle of Ypres, St Juliene, Frenzenburg, Loos, embarked for Egypt in November 1915 and then Salonika in January 1916 where most of the Division remained for the rest of the war.

J. R. BLAKEBROUGH. R.A.) records show Gunner James Blakebrough of the Royal Garrison Artillery entitled to the 1914-1918 British War Medal and Victory Medal, (3).

WW1 CASUALTY GROUPING. First World War casualty grouping, pair of medals, 1914-1918 British War Medal and Victory Medal ( 243051 PTE. H.S. TILLER. THE QUEEN'S. R. ) records show Private Hubert Stanley Tiller, born 1898, of Damersham, Hampshire, entitled to the BWM and Victory Medals, he was conscripted, age 18, on the 25th September 1916 initially into the Essex Regiment and then for a short period into the Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment with the regimental number 243051, he then transferred to the 7th Battalion Royal Fusiliers with the regimental number G67979 and served with that battalion in the 190th Brigade, 63rd (Royal Naval) Division during the 3rd Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) where he suffered gunshot wounds to the left thigh and right foot, he was then transferred to the Royal Defence Corps, serving with 463 Company with the regimental number 85705, after the war he was granted a small disability pension due to his wounds, also included are Hubert Tiller's pocket New Testament with his name to the inside cover, his Certificate of Transfer to the Reserve, a quantity of General Service tunic buttons, a copy of a photograph of him in Service Dress uniform, (qty).
