An art deco silver powder compact. Has a pink enamelled art deco pink base. A top single hinged lid. Comes with dust cover. 42.4 grams. 5 cm (l) when closed. Included is powder compact's orange powder puff. Makers mark R and S. Marked with the number 240. Birmingham assay 1929. Stain marks to interior mirror. Enamel appears in good condition with it only having very light scratches and marks. Comes with dust cover. LATE VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED SCOTTISH OFFICERS DIRK, BONE HANDLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Hallmarks for R. & H. B. Kirkwood. 66-68 Thistle Street Edinburgh, Scottland, Sterling Silver and date mark for 1887. Has a Large rock crystal pommel with fancy prong setting and Celtic knot carved bone handle, mounted on the sheath with utility fork and knife with matching handles and pommels. The 33 cm blade with faceted back edge, double fuller and perforation. Leather sheath with fancy engraved sterling silver mounts, in very good condition. 49 cm. overall length. Edinburgh late 19th century.
