A FIRST WORLD WAR GROUP OF THREE A Great War trio comprising 1914/15 Star named to 3469 Pte A.W. Grover The Queen's R. and War and Victory Medals named to T-3469 Grover. Alfred W. Grover served with numbers T/3469 and T/206575, he is recorded as beig wounded on the 13th September 1915 whilst serving in the Mediterranean with the 4th Battalion territorial Force, he was entitled to a wound stripe.
FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY GROUPS TO BROTHERS IN THE 7TH BN R.SUSSEX.R. A Great War Trio comprising 1914/15 Star named to G-623 Pte J.E. Squires R.Sussex R.and War and Victory medals similarly named. Private James Edward Squires was born in Chichester c1896, he was killed in action on the 21st October 1915 whilst serving with teh 7th Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment. His father was Mr W. Squires, 1, White House, Shipney, Bognor, Sussex. He is commemorated on the the Loos Memorial in France. And a similar pair named to L-10989 Pte A.E.Squires, R.Sussex R. who is recorded with the same parents. Arthur Edward Squires was born on the 5th March 1918. Suffered a gunshot wound to the lower extremities on the 10th of July 1916, a second wound is recorded on the 27th of August 1916. He died whilst fighting with the 7th Battalion on the 5th March 1918 at the age of 21. He is buried at the Croix-Du-Bac British Cemetery Steenwerck in France., his headstone is inscribed 'Rest in Peace Beloved One until the day Breaks'

Berks R. and War and Victory medals similarly named, mounted as worn. Private Frank Gambel is recorded with the Royal Berkshire Regiment and 8th Royal Berkshire Regiment. With an unmounted second World War collection of four medals comprising 1939/45 and Atlantic Stars, Defence and War Medals, unnamed as issued but with a letter on Retirement from Naval service to a Sub-Lieutenant Derek L. Gambel RNVR and a photograph of RN personnel.
A GEORGE V TERRITORIAL FORCE EFFICIENCY MEDAL. A George V Territorial Force Medal named to '646 Sjt G. Cross 5/Devon R'. Sjt Cross of the 5th Battalion Devonshire Regiment was awarded this medal on the 1st November 1915. He was also entitled to a War and Victory Medal for his part in the Great War.

Richard Jones saw service in Malta and Chatham, alongside his award for the Ashantee campaign he seems to have been recommended for his Long Service and Good Conduct award in 1876. Sold with photocopied research.

Pickard Royal Marines and Special Constabulary Long Service Award with Long Service 1962 clasp. to Chief Inspector Rowland C. Pickard. Mounted as worn, with accompanying miniatures and ribbon bars. Rowland Pickard is also recorded as serving with number 550249.
A GT WAR TRIO TO THE KINGS OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS. A 1914/15 Star, British War & Victory Medals in envelopes and boxes of issue named to 16062 Pte R Roughsedge K O Sco Bord. Robert Roughsedge served with the 8th Battalion KOSB in France from the 10th July 1915. The medal envelopes are addressed to Mr R Roughsedge, 5 Egerton Grove, Stratford Road, Hulme, Manchester. He was awarded a Silver War Badge List D/85 and discharged from service, under order (392) 28th April 1916.

Walter Eggar was listed as wounded on the 3rd of January 1917 whilst serving with the Royal West Surrey Regiment and entitled to a wound stripe. He served between 12/1/1916 and 8/11/1918 he was discharged as no longer being fit for service and was entitled to a War Badge.

Private James Wheelhouse from Battersea fought with the 10th (Service) Battalion (Battersea) of the Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment, he was killed in action on the 21st Match 1918. Private Wheelhouse is commemorated at the L'Homme Mort British Cemetery, Ecoust-St Mein. 21st March 1918 was the first day of the German offensive known as the 'Gray avalanche'

A Kepi cap with red fabric top with interlaced gold braid and two lines of horizontal braid and the number 27, with a leather peak and strap with flaming grenade buttons, blind-stamped R F to the underside of the peak. 10cm high 23cm front to back.

A burst air bubble to the interior, with some discolouration, approx. 3mm
