It published mainly fictional books but also art books, non-fiction works, and the children's book "Jenny Lived with Eric and Martin" (1983) which is claimed to have prompted the introduction of the Section 28 Local Government Act 1988 which forbade the "promotion of homosexuality" by local government after the Daily Mail reported that a copy of the book was provided in the library of a school.
