After George Morland (1763-1804). 'CHILDREN BIRD-NESTING', a mezzotint print engraved by W. Ward and published by J. R. Smith London February the 27th 1789, 44.8 x 54.4cm, together with three other prints after Morland, including: CHILDREN NUTTING and 'EVENING ON THE POST BOY'S RETURN', all in glazed Hogarth type frames, together with a pair of hand-coloured mezzotint prints after W. R. Bigg, 'THE PLUNDERING VAGRENTS' and 'THE PEASANT'S INTEGRITY' engraved by W. Barnard, in glazed giltwood frames. (6)
A Scottish brown leather cabin trunk by R. W. Forsyth, the canvas lined interior banded with crocodile edging, the lift-out tray and oval label inscribed 'R. W. FORSYTH LTD. MAKERS EDINBURGH AND GLASGOW', stamped with initials either side 'F. A. G.', with a brass lock, 35cm high, 91.5cm wide, 54cm deep.
John Henry Foley R. A. (Irish 1818-1874). A 19th century bronzed electrotype figure of Oliver Goldsmith, the writer standing holding a book in his left hand and a pen in his right, the square base with impressed marks 'J H FOLEY RA SCUL LONDON' and 'ELKINGTON CO FOUNDERS', 50.5cm high. This present lot is a reduced version of a larger sculpture erected in 1864 outside Trinity College in Dublin.
An early 19th century fiddleback mahogany and brass bound jewellery box, the hinged lid with a sunken brass handle, inscribed 'Lady Piggot', revealing a later interior, the underside of the lid with a letter pouch with a cut paper trade label, inscribed 'R. Richard Manufacturer of Writing Desks, Dressing and Work Boxes, Portfolios, Pocket Books, Inkstands & c. Regent Circus, Oxford Street LONDON', above a divided lift-out tray, with a brass Bramah lock, 12.4cm high, 28.3cm wide, 20.4cm deep.

A set of eight George III mahogany 'Hepplewhite' dining chairs, each with an oval back with a pierced splat carved with leaves, drapes and a guilloche band, above a stuffed-over seat covered in damask fabric, on square tapering front legs with spade feet united by an 'H' stretcher, the back rail stamped with workman's initials 'I R'. (8) Provenance: Purchased by the current vendor from Lennox Cato at the BADA Antiques Fair in 2013.

R W Hume's comic envelope No2 'Balloon Letters', imprint to top flap reads 'Published & Sold by R W Hume Leith'. Imprint to lower flap reads 'No. 2' and also has an indistinct part red circular postmark. Believed to be a State 2 variety with 'Stationer' omitted from top flap. Parts of envelope missing and general staining but a rare item, circa 1840

A 19th Century mahogany apothecary's chest, the top with herringbone banding and moulded edge opening to reveal scales, four bottles, measures, funnel and bone spoon, over a door opening to reveal six various bottles bearing labels "A J Wells late J W Trigg, Gloucester, Arthur J Wells and J W Trigg" over seven various drawers, the centre drawer containing glass pestle and mortar, with further rear door containing eight various bottles bearing labels for "R Y Duckworth, Gloucester, Arthur J Wells, Gloucester, W H Hampton, Gloucester" CONDITION REPORTS Case with staining, denting, scratching etc conducive with age and use. Top interior particularly so with lots of denting particularly to the front edge suggesting it may have been forced at some stage. Interior bottles etc may or may not be original. Drawers empty with the exception of small quantity of weights top left drawer. Door catches/hooks right hand side missing though eyes extant. Rear compartment with eight bottles, varying labels, again catch and eye missing - see images for further detail
