CHARLES RENNIE MACKINTOSH - An oak upright cabinet originally one of a pair from the Blue bedroom of Hous'hill Nitshill Glasgow, owned by Miss Catherine Cranston the tea room owner - The cabinet is missing its stained glass and mother of pearl insert and has a damaged handle, otherwise generally good, it measures 167.5cm H x 38cm W x 34cm D - In 1919 Kate Cranston left Hous'hill leaving the Mackintosh furniture in the house which eventually passed to Edward Arthur Gamble and was then auctioned by J and R Edmiston on May 13th 1933, in 1934 a fire damaged the house and it was eventually demolishedReference - Charles Rennie Mackintosh Complete Furniture, Furniture Drawings and Interior Design, Roger Billcliffe

Billy Ocean signed 10x8 b/w photo. Trinidadian-born English recording artist who had a string of R&B international pop hits in the 1970s and 1980s. He was the most popular British R&B singer-songwriter of the early to mid-1980s. After scoring his first four UK Top 20 successes, seven years passed before he accumulated a series of transatlantic successes, including three US number ones. His 1985 hit "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going" reached number one in the UK and number two in the US. In 1985, Ocean won the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for his worldwide hit, "Caribbean Queen", and in 1987 was nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Male Artist. His 1988 hit "Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car" reached number one in the US and number three in the UK. Good condition Est.

The daughter of Nat King Cole, she rose to musical success in the mid-1970s as an R&B artist with the hits "This Will Be", "Inseparable" (1975), and "Our Love" (1977). Cole re-emerged as a pop artist with the 1987 album Everlasting and her cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac". Good condition Est.

St Nazaire Raid double signed cover. JS/50/42/4 'Operation Chariot' 'The Greatest Raid of All' St Nazaire. Signed by Captain Michael Burn MC (see 'Commando To Colditz' 2009) & Lieutenant George R. Wheeler OBE MM both No. 2 Commando. Both were taken prisoner. Plus obituaries of three more participants in the raid: Leader of the demolitions team Lt Col. Bob Montgomery DSO RE, Lance Cpl Eric De la Tour MBE 3 Commando and Major Gen Corran Purdon CBE MC 12 Commando. All three were taken prisoner. Purdon, a persistent escaper was also sent to Oflag 1VC Colditz and was working on a tunnel when Colditz was liberated in April 1945. Good condition Est.
A pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks in the Egypto Classical taste (by R Hodd & Son London 1909) CONDITION REPORTS Candlesticks have some wear to the silver especially at the edges of the dophin supports of the candle holders, otherwise dents and tarnishing and remnants of cleaning fluid throughout both. One has a further larger dent to the flared base, the other doesn't sit straight. Drip tay is slightly bent in/misshapen. One candlestick has lost its baised base. General wear and tear to includes knocks, bumps, scatches etc, particularly evident to the flats of the bases. See images for more details. Height approx 30.5 cm
