A pair of Lalique 'Charmes' glass wall lights, designed in 1924, moulded and frosted glass, each mounted with a single light fitting, each with moulded signature 'R. Lalique', 34cm wide (2)Condition report: One with nibbles to the top edge - and two lines - images attached - don't appear to be cracks. The other has the top left corner glass broken; available - image attached - around the mount.
Indian Art A black stone chlorite Rama sculpture Central-Western India, 12th century (?). . Cm 31,50 x 55,50. A fine black stone sculpture depicting Rama before a highly intricated Jain style prabha with small temples devoted to the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu. Rama himself is the 7th avatar, thus the appearence of Vishnu when he killed Ravana. Small inscription engraved at the back: R?JA YAMA D?SA J?, identifying a Vishnuite context. For a similar sculpture please see the Matsuoka Museum of Art, Tokyo, Japan, Acc. no. 1080071.Provenance: Old private collection, Rome. According to the previous owner, the lot was purchased on the European antique market in the early 50s.

In 2° (324 x 223 mm); [348] carte. 38 iniziali rubricate in blu, rosso e viola di cui uno con la lettera "R" su 16 righe, stemma miniato di data posteriore sul recto della carta c2, esemplare completamente rubricato in rosso e blu, testo stampato su 2 colonne, 55 righe per pagina (restauro al margine superiore della prima carta con perdita di qualche lettera, restauro al margine bianco della seconda carta, qualche abile rinforzo al margine interno di poche carte, poche carte con macchie.) Legatura posteriore in pergamena con unghiatura, titolo in oro su tassello al dorso liscio. Esemplare parzialmente postillato da mano antica di questo importante trattato curato da Bartolomeo da Cremona. Come già l'edizione del 1475 contiene l'indicazione sulla tiratura dell'edizione: "Placuit … deo his nostris temporis novam artem docere homines, ut perimpressionem caracterum facillima esset scriptio librorum, adeo ut a tribus hominibus solum tres menses laborantibus per impressionem formata sint horum moralium trecenta volumina“.
