A Victorian silver straight-tapered beaker by John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater, London 1890, engraved with scroll foliate panels and a presentation, the interior gilt, 12.5cm (5in) high; and a silver plain oblong spirit flask by James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1916, engraved ‘Stanley from W. L. H. R.’, 15.5cm (6in) high, 436g (14 oz) gross. The first presentation reads ‘Presented to Fiennes Wykeham Mann Cornwallis on the anniversary of his first Birthday by the employees Linton Park August 21st 1891’. Provenance: Cornwallis
