Superb to see extremely well presented original 1965 UK demo of the famous double A-side We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper... The record (Parlophone red 'A' labels, R 5389, serrated rim around the labels) is in very clean Ex condition. The playing surfaces exceedingly fine and glossy, there are just a couple of very light, minor and faint paper surface hairline marks noted. The labels are in lovely clean order. Matrix/mother stampers (machine stamped): 7XCE 18341-4 1 A & 7XCE 18342-1 3 R L with KT machine stamped at the '12 o clock' position on both sides of the runout. Housed with clean original company sleeve.

Rather special to see wonderful condition original UK 7" demo of the fab four's second studio single Please Please Me c/w Ask Me Why. The record (Parlophone red 'A' labels, 45-R 4983, serrated rim around the labels) is in superlative Ex+ condition. A stunning example, there are only a couple of extremely faint, slight and wispy paper hairline marks to the playing surfaces which are incredibly clean. An original 7" single: The Beatles - Love Me Do (45-R 4949, VG). The 7" single bears signatures to label on the A side by George Harrison, John Lennon and to B side by Ringo Starr and in marker pen by Paul McCartney (with tape covering signature). The signatures were obtained in person by the vendor - who often travelled throughout 1963 to try to spot band members at their homes.

THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (1ST UK 'BLACK AND GOLD' PMC 1202 - SUPERB COPY). A fantastic clean 1st UK mono 'black and gold' copy of the iconic debut long player from the fab four. The record (PMC 1202, with correct Dick James for tracks A1, A2, A6, A7, B4 and B6) is in stunning Ex+ condition. With absolutely no need to upgrade, there are only a couple of extremely faint, slight and wispy marks to the incredibly clean playing surfaces. Wow. Matrix/mother stampers: XEX 421-1N 1 R & XEX 422-1N 1 R (an extremely early run). With only very minor wear to the lovely sharp, clean and bright labels showing the ZT tax code on side 2. The first printing 'right aligned' Angus McBean credit sleeve is in VG+ condition. The front extremely clean with only a little wear to the laminate, there is a small paper tear on the top flipback tab, the remainder of the reverse in sharp and clean order. Without any seam splits, the spine very crisp and naturally fully legible. A really top copy here.
GEORGE HARRISON - WONDERWALL MUSIC MONO LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - APCOR 1). Wonderful to see super clean extremely scarce complete original UK mono copy of the ace November 1968 LP from George Harrison. The record (APCOR 1, 'Sold In UK' on labels) is in very fine Ex condition showing only a couple of very light, faint and wispy surface hairline marks to the playing surfaces. Very sharp labels showing only minor spindle marks. Matrix/mother stampers: APCOR 1A-1 (AP 1A 1 crossed out) 1 R & APCOR 1B-1 (AP 1B 1) crossed out 1 O. Complete with the insert in Ex condition and clean original black inner. The original fully laminated mono sleeve is in superlative Ex+ condition showing some very light wear to the laminate on the front - elsewhere extraordinarily clean.

Britain (G+ condition, still glossy, with many surface marks/scuffs and some light scratches, with P T tax code on B side label, matrix/mother stampers: 7XCE 17144-1N PZTI (8 o clock) O (2 o clock) & 17145-1N PTZI (9 o clock) G (3 o clock).
THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (1ST UK STEREO 'BLACK & GOLD' - PCS 3042). A key addition to any Beatles collection now with this well presented 1st UK stereo copy of Please Please Me. The record (PCS 3042, wit Dick James credits for tracks A1, A2, A6, A7, B4 and B6) is in VG condition. The record shows some surface marks/scuffs to the playing surfaces though there are no heavier scratches. With bright and clean labels. Matrix/mother stampers: YEX 94-1 1 G & YEX 95-1 1 R. The first printing (large stereo, right aligned Angus McBean credit) sleeve is in VG condition. The front nice and sharp with some minor laminate creases, the reverse shows some wear to the flipback tabs with a small tear on the top part of the flipback tab. The spine is clean and fully legible. Elsewhere, the reverse with some minor foxing. A solid example.

The vast majority of his drawings were the result of commissions from Ainslie, making Mayer one of the first artists to represent the Ottoman Empire as the main theme of his extensive work. Bilingual edition, in English and French, illustrated with 24 hand-coloured aquatints, accompanied by the respective explanatory texts and an index in both languages, on the last page. Engraving No. 20 with two small cuts on the lower edge, without lack of support. Offering inscription, dated 1825, on the third free endpaper. Very clean copy with wide margins, retaining the original cellophane separators in all engravings. Contemporary binding, fully fine vellum, with some wear, conserving the original marbled endpapers; double romantic ornamental borders on both covers and gold tooling of the title on the upper cover; smooth spine and gilt edge. The translation was, in fact, carried out by Fr. João Pinto OSB, and by him dedicated to the General of the Order. It was reprinted in Coimbra, by Nicolau Carvalho, in 1632. It includes, on the title page, a small engraving of the saint repeated on the last folio above the printer's mark. On the verso, a composition of six xilographic plates, four of which were used in the princeps edition of “Os Lusíadas” (including the pediment with the pelican facing the viewer’s left). Copy a little cropped (washed?), with old manuscript ownership on the title page: [illegible] from the collegio of St. Joseph Discalced Carmelites. Last sheet with reconstructed margins; slight tidal stain on the lower outer corner of the first leaves. Overall, however, a clean, solid, and complete copy. A Quillon dagger, possibly early 17th century, with fluted tapering fruitwood grip, curved quillons with embossed floral decoration and steel blade engraved R on one side and (1)?626 on the other, 31.5cm long. A similar dagger is currently in the possession of the Royal Collection Trust, RCIN61631.Condition report: Some oxidisation to the blade, surface marks and scratches to the grip and shallow crack. Quillons with decoration worn.
