Norbert Roettiers prepared dies for a Scottish coinage in 1716, no contemporary examples of these cons are known to exist, this is from a limited number that were struck from the original dies in 1828 by Matthew Young, after which the dies were defaced. *CR A very nice example of a rare and most interesting coin.

An annotated copy of the catalogue suggests a price of £4 for this coin. *CR One of the nicest coins from this reign from the wreck with good detail and very light 'shipwreck' surface.
