A René Lalique "Coquilles" pattern ceiling light or plafonier, moulded in high relief as four scallop shells with a slight blue opalescent tinge, etched "R Lalique France No. 3021", set within a frosted glass outer shade, 45 cm total diameter CONDITION REPORTS The diameter of the bowl is approximately 20 cm, the bowl has been drilled to support the light fitting. There are two chips to the outside edge. There is wear to the chrome to include pitting and a little bit of corrosion. The glass support is rough in texture and has a small chip to the upper edge. The whole piece has general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include dirt, light surface scratches etc - see images for further details
AFTER DOROTHY WILDING (1893-1976) "Queen Elizabeth II", a photographic portrait study, black and white, seated in formal dress, signed "Elizabeth R" and dated 1953 to the bottom centre, paper size 66 cm x 51 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Titled 'AFTER' because it is a print and not done in the Artist's own hand. ARR stands for 'Artist's Resale Rights' - it is applicable. Image appears to be stuck on mount board. Has general wear and tear to include some discolouration to the ink. There is some small pinhead size damage to the mount board. Frame has surface scratches, knocks etc and wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details. The Queen's signature is on the mount, there is no Certificate of Authenticity - it is glazed
EDWARD PATRY (1856-1940) "R R Barker", study of a gentleman in hunting coat, a whip in his left hand, portrait study, three-quarter length, oil on canvas, title top left, signed and dated 1912 bottom right, bears hand-written label verso inscribed "Portrait of Reginald Barker Esquire painted by Edward Patry RBA 14a Kensington Crescent", 102 cm x 76 cm (Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Nothing showing under UV - has areas of spotting/white mildew type marks all over. Some crazing is evident. There is a dent to the canvas at the bottom left hand corner - unsure why this is - a possible repair to the stretcher. Has some light surface scratching, knocks etc all conducive with age and use. The frame itself also has some knocks and chips, crazing to the gilding etc - see images for further details
