He submited a paper to the Philosophical Transactions 1817 (page 339) titled "Observations on the Hirudo Complanata and Hirudo Stagnalis, now formed into distinct genus under the name Glossopora" by Dr. Johnson of Bristol of Bristol communicated by Sir Everard Home. Dr. James Rawlins Johnson was the author of 'A Treatise on the Medicinal Leech: including its medical and natural history, with a description of its anatomical structure: also remarks upon the diseases, preservation and management of leeches', 1816.

Baden-Powell had played the part of a Chinese man called ‘Wun-Hi' and Ellen the part of Molly Seamore in the play of The Geisha , a late Victorian Edwardian musical comedy by Sidney Jones, Lionel Monckton and Harry Greenbank. Baden-Powell remained friends with Ellen and her mother, (also Ellen, Mrs Compton Turner), addressing the daughter as 'Miss Molly' and often signing his letters to both as 'Wunhi', in reference to the characters in the play.

Rare and interesting Tudor Oyster-Prince Military Submariner Rotor Self-Winding stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch of US Naval interest, ref. 7928/0, circa 1967, serial no. 597xxx, rotating black bezel, the black 'T Swiss T' dial with luminous markers, Mercedes hands and sweep centre seconds, marked 'Submariner 200m=660ft', Auto-Prince 17 jewel movement, the inside screw back dated 'II.67', engraved 'U.S NSWG-2 020 FEB.68', 43mm - Accompanied with a scanned letter image from renowned engraver Charles R. Scarr who examined the case back and concluded that it was engraved using a pantograph and that in his opinion the Navy Seal inscription was very likely engraved at the point of issue to the U.S. Navy in 1968 - NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP (Navy Seals) - President John F. Kennedy, aware of the situation in Southeast Asia, recognised the need for unconventional warfare and special operations as a measure against guerrilla warfare. In March 1961, Admiral Arleigh Burke, the Chief of Naval Operations, recommended the establishment of guerrilla and counter-guerrilla units. These units would be able to operate from sea, air or land. This was the beginning of the Navy SEALs. The first two teams were formed in January 1962 and stationed on both US coasts: Team ONE at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, in San Diego, California and Team TWO at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Formed entirely with personnel from UDTs, the SEALs mission was to conduct counter guerilla warfare and clandestine operations in maritime and riverine environments. -360 VIEW-Condition Report: - Movement - currently working.
