Hairline crack to the white enamel dial by 9 o'clock marker. Hour hand is slightly bent. Gold case has a small dent along the edge and some light surface scratching. The enamel decoration is in good condition with some very minor chips/scratches (visible with a x10 loupe). The inner gold case has a visible scratch but its not deep.

Worksplate AMERICAN LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY 39533 MANCHESTER WORKS MAY 1906. Ex Northern Pacific Railroad Class L-9 0-6-0 numbered 1045. Rectangular cast brass face restored, rear original. Measures 13.875in x 7.625in and weighs 2.7kg. In good condition the plate has an extra hole in the R in American and there is a groove in the back which appears to be a casting flaw not a repair. From the Collection of the late Eric Ellis former Society Engineer of LMS 6201 Princess Elizabeth who purchased this plate from Alan Miller of San Diego CA and we have a copy of a sworn testament from Alan dated Nov 2007 that this plate is original.
