A 19th Century brass Davey miners lamp, stamped on the arched top R. Sharp, maker and stamped G.S., supported by three brass columns enclosing gauze, fitted a sliding draught screen, the turned base with a screw lock operated from below (R. Sharp made lamps at Usworth, County Durham), 9in. high.

John Dawson & Co: a rare marked creamware tankard showing "A South East view of the stupendous bridge over the Wear near Sunderland built under the patronage of R Burdon Esq MP engineer TW", circa 1799 / 1800, marked "J Dawson & Co Low Ford", 4 1/2in. (11.5cm.) high (chips, minor crack). NB: "TW" refers to Thomas Wilson, it is very rare to see this credit.
