Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia are highlighted in full colour set against silver logo lettering, which in turn is offset against a matt black background. The second, an 'updated' style by Jung, features some of the best imagery from the series with fantastic renditions of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, Yoda (firmly established as such an important and popular character to the series and sparingly used in the original campaign) and the iconic Imperial Walkers.27" x 41" (69 x 104 cm)Additional Information: Yellow Banner Style - RR 81007 & Artwork R 810129Condition: ExcellentUnrestored, folded (as issued). Paul Newman had one of his best roles ever as 'Fast Eddie Felson' in the "Hustler" (1961). The extraordinary film about a pool-playing hustler. This 1964 reissue US One-Sheet poster is (not surprisingly) preferred over the original 1961 One-Sheet by many collectors because of its pop art, cool billiards imagery. Newman was to later reprise his character in "The Colour of Money" (1986) for which he won the Academy-Award® for Best Actor. A number of observers and critics have suggested that this Oscar® was in belated recognition for his performance in "The Hustler". 27" x 41" (99 x 102 cm)Additional Information: NSS #R-64/173Condition: Very GoodUnrestored, folded (as issued).Artist: Unknown Artist£300 - 500VAT Status: M

Lot 129

A first release 1978 British One-Sheet film poster for "Deer Hunter", Michael Cimino's multi Academy-Award® winning Vietnam war drama. A controversial advertising campaign with Fred Atkins' poster depicting Robert DeNiro with the "Russian roulette" pistol to his head (a scene so significant in the film) being withdrawn from circulation within days after its initial appearance as the imagery was considered too disturbing. It is widely believed that the majority of the posters were destroyed by the Distributors at the time with a very limited number staying in circulation. This example carries a Censor Warning snipe to the top left area stating 'R-18 Contains Violence & Offensive Language'.27" x 40" (99 x 102 cm)Additional Information: Printed in England by Lonsdale & Bartholomew Ltd. NottinghamCondition: GoodUnrestored, folded (as issued).Artist: Fred Atkins£300 - 500VAT Status: M

Lot 252

"In space no one can hear you scream". H. R. Giger's design for the xenomorph in Ridley Scott's "Alien" (1979) is a pop culture phenomenon and one of cinemas most iconic images. Although the subject matter is instantly recognisable, it's interesting to see how the two artists here have differently interpreted the Alien. Grzegorz Domaradzki (Gabz) has gone for a 'Gigerish' vibe with a series of seven grey colour inks screen printed on Neenah Cool Grey paper. Originally issued in 2019 at the "I am GABZ" exhibition in New York, this limited edition of 300 has been hand-signed and numbered #68. Vance Kelly's offering has the look and feel of a more traditional movie poster with the Alien imagery dominating the rest of the cast. A layer of silver ink (only really noticeable on close inspection) overlayed into the some of the grey areas only enhances what is a spectacular looking piece. In an edition of 400 this is hand-numbered #24.24" x 36" (61 x 91.5 cm)Additional Information: Signed & Hand-Numbered #68/300 & 24/400Condition: ExcellentUnrestored, rolled, flat and unfolded (as issued). Very minimal handling wear. It presents and displays to excellent effect.Artist: Grzegorz Domaradzki (Gabz), Vance Kelly £200 - 300VAT Status: M
