Koken machte sich um das Ausstellungswesen, die Galeriebetriebe und die Organisation des Kunstgewerbemuseums seiner Heimatstadt sehr verdient.

Neben Porträts umfasst sein Werk vor allem zahlreiche Genre- und Landschaftsdarstellungen in altmeisterlicher Manier. Bemerkenswert ist dabei seine Naturtreue und exakte Wiedergabe alter Bauernhäuser aus Leipzig und der weiteren Umgebung. Liebsch war befreundet mit dem Maler Bruno Hèroux und Verfasser von dessen Werkverzeichnis, gemeinsam waren sie Mitglieder der Leipziger Leoniden.

During this time, he was romantically linked to Princess Victoria of Prussia (1866-1929). In 1893, he was in command of HMS Camperdown which collided with HMS Victoria, near Tripoli, northern Lebanon, while on exercise with torpedoes and mines. It caused the ship to run aground and sank within 10 minutes and all 358 crew were killed. There was a court-martial but Bourke was cleared of any blame. HMS Victoria is said to be the world's only vertical shipwreck and is now a historic monument, protected in law." H ca. 16,5 cm.Künersberg, um 1745, der Dekor Augsburg, Anna Elisabeth Wald (geborene Aufenwerth).In früheren Publikationen wurde der Dekor dem Künersberger Maler Johann Espenmüller zugeschrieben, von dem allerdings kein signiertes Stück als Beleg überliefert ist. Wie vor ihm Gustav Pazaurek vermutete auch Siegfried Ducret in seiner Publikation 1971, dass der Dekor dieser Gruppe Künersberger Fayencen nicht in der Manufaktur entstanden ist. Für ihn sind die "Zusammenhänge mit Elisabeth Wald-Aufenwerth [...] so frappant, daß man annehmen könnte, Espenmüller habe in der Werkstatt von Frau Wald in Augsburg gemalt." (S. 46). Bedeutender kleiner Arbeitstisch monogrammiert von David RoentgenRosenholz, Nuss, Rüster, Esche, Buchs, Ahorn und gefärbte Hölzer auf Eiche, Weichholz und Kirsche, grünes Leder mit geprägtem Goldrand (ersetzt), vergoldete Bronze und Messing. Ovaler Multifunktionstisch mit vier abschraubbaren verjüngten Vierkantbeinen auf Rollen. In der Front ein durch Druck öffnender, breiter Schub mit Schreibplatte, darunter zwei Innenschübe und ein Federmechanismus zum Öffnen der seitlichen Schwenkläden. Diese ausgestattet mit einem Fach über zwei Schüben. Die Beine betont durch dunkel furnierte Kanten, auf drei Seiten aufgelegte Lorbeerblattfestons an Schleifen. Über den Beinen Risaliten mit Triglyphen und gestuftem Abschluss. Um die Platte umlaufendes Messingband. Auf der Platte ein Bildfeld mit feiner figürlicher Marketerie, wie ein Medaillon trompe l‘oeil-artig in das Nussfurnier intarsiert. Auf den vier Seiten der Zarge Tierdarstellungen im Inselstil, gerahmt von breiten goldenen milleraies. Monogrammiert "DR" auf dem Halsband des Hundes vor der Hütte auf dem rechten Seitenschub. Unauffällige Schwundrisse in der Platte. H 72, B 65, T 46 cm.Neuwied, um 1775 - 80.In seiner Publikation von 1948 beschreibt Josef Maria Greber die 3,50 m hohen und 3,75 m breiten Paneele David Roentgens, die sich heute in der Sammlung des Museums für Angewandte Kunst Wien befinden, als „Die größten Intarsien der Welt“. David Roentgen führte fort, was sein Vater begann - die Möbel mit üppigen Bildern zu dekorieren, quasi als Erkennungszeichen seiner höfischen Kunst. Mit den detailreichen Wiedergaben der Vorlagen von Januarius Zick (1730 - 1797) gelang es David Roentgen einen unverwechselbaren, eigenen und neuen Stil zu etablieren. Seine Mitarbeiter realisierten die Zeichnungen des Koblenzer Künstlers, dem auch die Idee zu dieser Marketerie zugeschrieben wird. Der erste Schritt war dabei die Übersetzung der Zeichnung in ein Umrissraster für die unterschiedlichen Hölzer, nach dem der Intarsienschneider, wie z.B. Michael Rummer, arbeiten konnte. Bei diesem Tisch wird die sogenannte Werkszeichnung dem Graveur Elie Gervais (1721 - 1791) zugeschrieben. Wir kennen mehrere Ausführungen der Szene mit den würfelspielenden Kindern und dem beobachtenden Hund im Hintergrund, aber diese Marketerie in der Art eines trompe l‘oeil-Medaillons ist sicher die schönste. Die Tatsache, dass der kleine Hund auf der seitlichen Zarge eines der seltenen Monogramme David Roentgens am Halsband trägt, beweist, dezent formuliert, seinen Stolz auf dieses Möbel. Es gibt verschiedene Signaturen seiner Werkstatt, aber Marketeriesignaturen sind äußerst selten. Wir kennen noch einen zweiten ovalen Arbeitstisch mit der Intarsiensignatur "R". Seltene Unterschale mit Aufenwerth-ChinoiseriePorzellan, farbiger Aufglasurdekor, Vergoldung. Um die Fahne goldenes Bandelwerk und vier Kartuschen mit Rautendekor. Im Spiegel eine große Goldkartusche um ein Chinesenpaar im Garten. Um die Unterseite der Fahne umlaufender reliefierter vergoldeter Lambrequindekor. Ohne Marke. Minimaler Goldberieb. Durchmesser 14,2 cm. Beigegeben eine weitere Unterschale mit Chinoiserie.Meissen, vor 1721, der Dekor Sabina Hosennestel (Aufenwerth), zugeschrieben, um 1730.In den 1720er und 30er Jahre ist eine Vielzahl an Hausmalereien auf Porzellan der Familie Aufenwerth zuzuschreiben. Zwei publizierte und bekannte Service stammen wohl von der talentiertesten der drei Aufenwerth-Schwestern, Sabina (1706 - 1782). Zunächst Schülerin ihres Vaters, Johann Aufenwerth (1662 - 1728), entwickelt sie sich zu einer wahren Meisterin der Porzellan- und Emailmalerei. Sie war spezialisiert auf eine höchst eigene Interpretation der in der Meissener Manufaktur entwickelten Hoeroldt-Chinoiserien, die sie mit feinstem Bandelwerk und Lambrequindekoren rahmte. Stolz pflegte sie einige Stücke mit versteckten Monogrammen zu signieren, wodurch die Zuordnung anderer, nicht signierter Porzellane wie dieser Unterschale erleichtert wird. Im Alter von 25 Jahren heiratete sie am 13. Hunt's Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service.Eminent art director and production designer Cain worked on many Bond films, including Dr. No and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. He also worked with prestigious director Alfred Hitchcock as production designer on Frenzy. Cain created these drafts - which he called "roughs" - to show to the director for comments before refining the final storyboard. Johnson provided two forms of identification, his temporary driver's licence and his failed astronaut application form, when he went to the bank with his cashier's check for "two hundred and fifty big ones," which he soon realised was actually $250,000.This application is printed with the header "Application for Astronaut Houston, Texas" featuring a NASA logo, typed answers to the application questions, and is dated and signed "4-20-79 Navin R. Johnson." It was folded and crumpled by production as it was meant to have been kept in Johnson's wallet. It exhibits some staining, edge wear, and a torn corner from use and age. Blofeld (Telly Savalas) was determined to prove his royal lineage and that he should be titled Count Balthazar de Bleuchamp, so Bond (George Lazenby) went undercover as genealogist Sir Hilary Bray to get close to the villain at his Alpine retreat.Eminent art director and production designer Cain worked on many Bond films, including Dr. No and Live and Let Die, as well as Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy. Mankiewicz's historical epic Cleopatra. Antony argued with his officers as they questioned his obstinate wish to fight Octavian (Roddy McDowall) at sea rather than on land. This lot comes from the archives of the Italian costume company Costumi d'Arte.Seven-time Academy Award nominee Burton was regarded as one of the finest actors of his generation and performed in several films, including Cleopatra, alongside his wife, the iconic actress Elizabeth Taylor. At the time of its release, Cleopatra was the most expensive film ever made. It was nominated for nine Academy Awards and won four, including Best Costume Design. The cuirass is made of leather, coloured burgundy and brown, with ornate metal symbols and detailing. "R . This drum was released for a limited time in 2004, as part of DW's Collector's Series, to commemorate Rush's 30th Anniversary. The 6" x 14" drum has a black Mirra flake lacquer finish with 24-karat gold-plated hardware and a delta ball-bearing throw-off - a component used on Peart's actual tour snares at the time. It is decorated with a mother-of-pearl "Starman" inlay logo and a DW drums-branded gold badge labelled "E237563". The weighted drum remains unused and exhibits minor fingerprint remnants on the hardware. It comes with its original DW tag attached, a DW Collector's Series warranty document, and a Profile protective case.
