dating: 1865 provenance: Poirino, Octagonal, rifled, damascened, 11 mm cal. barrels, engraved at the base with floral motifs, precision fore-sight; engraved tangs provided with adjustable rear sight, forward spring locks, engraved with floral motifs. Wooden, three quarters stocks, embossed with floral motifs and with checkered grip, iron mounts decorated en suite, trigger-guards with finger support, triggers with set trigger. In a wooden case, covered with red cloth with all the tools and key. The cover with brass mounts, a foldaway handle in the center, with inscription 'TIRO A SEGNO DI POIRINO - Dono di S. A. R. il Duca d'Aosta 1865'. length 42 cm.
dating: 1847 provenance: Torino, Heavy, rifled, octagonal, 15.5 mm cal. barrel, with adjustable rear sight and long scale, precision fore-sight; engraved tang; forward spring lock, signed 'Lupotti a Torino' among fine, floral engravings, fish-shaped cock. Wooden, full stock, grip finely checkered with floral motifs and nails, embossed with a bearded man's face below, with plume in the head, sides embossed with a fawn and dragon, with silver inlays, one with inscription '1° Premio del Bersaglio di Rivoli 1847', crowned Savoy count's coat-of-arms on the other, with monogram 'R'. Iron mounts, anatomical trigger-guard. Metal-tipped wooden ramrod with metal cartridge extractor. In patina. To be cleaned. length 116 cm.
dating: 1864 provenance: USA, Short, round, rifled, 13.5 mm cal. barrel, with adjustable rear sight adn fore-sight; frame with rear magazine, marked 'BURNSIDE'S PATENT / MODEL OF 1864' and with serial number '11639'; backward spring lock marked 'BURNSIDE RIFLE Co. PROVIDNENCE R. I.'. Wooden butt and fore-end. Iron mounts. length 100.5 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Round, 18 mm cal. barrel (traces of groove inside?), fore-sight, clutch for a bayonet, adjustable and foldaway rear sight, stamps 'B' and 'D' at the base, remains of dating '1827'. Lock converted to percussion, mechanics in working order (only one cock in position), plate marked 'M.ra R.le di Napoli'. Wooden, full stock with stamp 'R' and numbering. Iron mounts with stamps. No muzzle ring. Replaced ramrod. Butt-plate with marking '12.7F.149'. Iron ramrod with remains of marking at the handle. length 147 cm.

LECHETIER BARBE & CO., 60 Regent Street, London A LATE 19TH CENTURY ARTS & CRAFTS PERIOD LARGE OAK ADJUSTABLE ARTIST'S EASEL, to accommodate canvas ranging from 23.5cm (smallest) to 127.5cm (tallest), with winder and with remains of paper label on r everse (family provenance - easel from the studio of Hugh Richard Hosking ('Dick' 1904-91). Dick trained as a mural painter at the Royal College of Art (1924-8) and was Principal of Coventry College of Art (1948-64). Some of his work is located in L eamington Museum and Art Gallery, some public commissions are still in situ. The easel was purportedly originally from the Studio of Augustus John, as Dick was a close friend of Edwin John)

A 5" gauge live steam model of L. M. R. Lion, with tender, project, number 57, 0-4-2, length 84cm. The Lion as built in 1838 Lion received a new boiler about 1845. This replaced the pointed firebox of the original haycock boiler with a round-topped boiler with raised firebox wrapper. It was used in traffic until about 1858, and in 1859 it was sold to the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board for use as a stationary engine, worked only intermittently as a pump at Prince's Dock.
