Ritratto e fisiognomica da Leonardo a Bacon (mit Keilrahmenaufkleber,"Ritratto di Speedy"), S. 509 mit Abb.LiteraturVgl. Ausst. Kat. Rudolf Schlichter, Tübingen/Wuppertal/München 1997/1998 (Kunsthalle/Von der Heydt-Museum/Lenbachhaus); Ausst. Kat. Rudolf Schlichter. Ausst. Kat.

A Restored English Holster Pistol, 12ins browned barrel (possible replacement), browned action engraved crown over R, maker's name Farmer and 1743, hardwood stock and fore end, brass pommel and trigger guard, in non-contemporary box, with some tools and accessories The weapon appears to be in a refreshed condition and is potentially a made-up piece. The lock itself is marked with the maker's name and a date of 1744. The weapon cocks, holds and fires. The fit of the lock to the woodwork leaves something to be desired and is not very precise. The barrel looks to be a possible replacement and has no visible proof marks. The brass work is definitely reproduction and has been added at a later date. However the piece is a nice decorative item and is complete with a prefabricated box which is possibly an old cutlery box but certainly the gun fits well.

A Platinum Solitaire Diamond Ring, Modern, set with a centre rectangular stepcut natural diamond of 2ct flanked by two natural diamonds, approximately .40ct total, size R, gross weight 3.42g Note: With Gemological Certificate services report No.5785-0207, dated 30.10.24 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/5kmul2p9wlbulzis5yczk/h?rlkey=z31zmhh2efosysubqoysh5hh8&dl=0 The ring presents in excellent overall condition showing wear commensurate with age and light usage. There is no obvious sign of any previous damage or repair, the stone appears to be free from any visible cracks or chips. In our opinion the ring would date from the 1960s- or 70s but we can only guess this as there is no formal hallmarking from which to date it. Prospective bidders are advised to study all images closely prior to bidding and to study the diamond grading certificate in the images
