A Louis XVI cube parquetry side table, with kingwood and fruitwood banding and stringing, the rectangular top with a three quarter bead gallery, above two end frieze drawers and a later pull out bag, on square moulded edge tapering legs, 27in (68.5cm) h, 26.75in (68cm) w, 19in (48cm) d. A hand written label to one drawer states - This Table belonged to my dear friend Mrs Brown, and was left to me by her Husband (who survived her two years) The Revd William R Brown, who died on the 17th of December 1894. Annie Massey. The table originally belonged to Mrs Siddons to whom it was given by King George the 4th.

An Edward VII Kaisar-I-Hind gold medal for public service in India, awarded to N.S. Glazebrook esq, J.P. of Bombay awarded by King Edward VII on November 9th 1901. The medal by R & S Garrard & Co of 25 Haymarket, London, believed to be in 18ct gold suspended on a blue ribbon with gold clasp, total weight approx 45.5gms, in box of issue, also in this lot is a contemporary photograph of the medal glazed and framed and a photograph of Mr Glazebrook surrounded by a group of European and Indians.
