Caucasian chii palas (flatweave cover), Aspheron, Baku district, Azerbaijan, circa 1900, 10ft. 8in. x 5ft. 2in. 3.25m. x 1.58m. Horizontal bands of various widths with details in extra weft-wrapping, with ivory cotton details. Slight wear in places with some corrosion to dark brown. Cf. Wright, R. & Wertime, J. Caucasian Carpets & Covers, p. 75-77 for a very similar example and Kerimov et al, Rugs & Carpets from the Caucasus, pl. 38.
WW1 1916 Imperial German M1898/05 Seitengewehr Butcher BayonetA good example with 14 1/2 inch single edged blade widening towards the point, with large fuller. The forte marked "R. Stock & Co. Berlin-Marienfelde". Back edge with faint 1916 date. The hilt with steel turn up quillon, flash guard and wooden grooved slab grips. Complete with steel scabbard. Good clean condition.
