C.S. Lewis : Broadcast Talks, 1942. 12mo Hb. Affixed to the front paste-down of the volume is a letter written by Lewis from Magdalen College - " Dear Mr. Hubble, Forgive this economy of paper, I can't at the moment do otherwise. The Talks will be published, probably by Centenary Press but it is too early yet to give any details. I hope they may be in their Autumn lists. Thanks for kind and encouraging letter, Yours sincerely, C.S. Lewis." Please consult condition report. CONDITION REPORT: This copy has been well used but remains in sound condition. Lewis's als is stuck to the front paste down and is comprised of a small trimmed piece of note paper - this reflects other similar notes of his. There is a newspaper cutting affixed to the lower r/h corner of the TP featuring an article about Lewis's sermons at Oxford. The name H. Hubble appears written at the top r/h corner of the title page - this circumstance probably indicates that he has written a letter to Lewis prior to the publication of the book.
