Extremely rare, die shift. About FDC. The two elderly daughters of Costantine VIII ruled the Empire jointly for seven and a half weeks following the deposition of Michael V. Their obvious unfitness to govern togheter with their mutual antipathy necessitated the hasty selection of a new husband for Zoe, and on 12th June 1042 the senator Constantine Monomachus ascended the throne as Constantine IX.

The city of Neapolis didn’t produce dracms until quarter-century of III BC. Symbols and types are the same of those present on other issues. Symbols and letters, those always between bull’s legs, indicate the sequences of the various series produced, in fact, in some treasures the are a lot of Neapolitan coins, marked with different letters. The Harpa, represented on this coin, is an ancient weapon, used by Saturn to kill his father Uranus. According the sources, it was used also by Mercury to kill Argos and by Perseus to behead Medusa .
