A Queen Sudan Medal trio to 2947 Serg't T. Hagger 21st L'crs, comprising QSM, and QSA to 2108 1st Cpl Tpr T. W. Hagger, S.A.C, with Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal clasps, Khedive's Sudan Medal with Khartoum clasp. This was the last British Army Cavalry charge, which Winston Churchill, future Prime Minister, was a participant in. Indeed, Hagger was in 'A' Company which was Churchills Company. (3) Accompanying the group is a letter from Lieutenant Colonel R. L. C. Tamplin dated 21st September 1982, in which he states that Hagger appears in the listing of officers, NCO's and men in The Vedette in the second half of 1899. But also that 'His Squadron was commaned by Major H Finn with Lieutenant C.J. Clerk his second in command. the five troop leaders were Lieut RN Smyth and 2/Lt OW Britton of the 21st and Lieutenant WLS Churchill, T Connally and FW Wormland attached from the 4th Hussars, Royal Scots Greys and the 7th Hussars respectfully'.

A World War One pair and death plaque to 28110 Sjt E Boon, Ches R, comprising BWM, VM and plaque, with a note stating that Boon was announced Distinguished Conduct Medal in The London Gazette 22nd Oct 1917 and a copy The London Gazette dated 25th January 1918 (pp1292) stating '28110 Pte. E. Boon Ches. R. (Denton), For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the capture of an enemy position the first two waves of the attach were held up by a strong point. This N.C.O., initiated a flank attack and successfully put the strong point out of action, thus enabling out advance to proceed. His coolness and dash were most marked and set a splendid example to his men.' (3)

A World War One trio and death plaque to 17118Pte J. Mandley N. Staffs. R, comprising 1914/15 Star, BWM, VM and plaque. John Mandley of 8th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment was KIA in France on 6th July 1916 aged 26. He was involved in the attach by the 19th Division of the village of La Boiselle, which was captured on the evening of 6th July: The Battle of Albert. His name appears on the Thiepval memorial in France. (4)

Bloor R.F.A, comprising1914/15 Star, BWM, VM and a Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee medal for good service and issued by Birkenhead Constabulary, engraved H. Bloor Member Watch Committee (8) Accompanying the group is a letter from Kenneth Lovell dated June 26th 1984 stating that the award of the MC was listed in The London Gazette ib January 18th 1918. The citation was published in the suppliement on April 25th 1918 stating 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to dity. He ws in command of five mortars during a raid and kept them in action throughout the operations with great skill, though heavily shelled'.
