Two 20th century items of Lalique glass ware to include a perfume bottle with a frosted glass stopper in the form of a dove in flight, marked to the base 'Nina Ricci, Made by Lalique France', 9 x 6 x 5.5cm, and a Rene Lalique frosted glass car mascot depicting a winged bird within a laurel leaf wreath design, etched on the footed base 'Lalique' the letter 'R' in a circle, 'France', 8 x 7.5 x 2.5cm. WW2 Royal Air Force Log Book Pair of W/O R G Drew 267 Squadron who flew Supply Drop Missions to Resistance Fighters in Northern Italy and the Balkans, the first log book covers his training in 1942 on various aircraft including the Tiger Moth, Stearman, BT-13 etc. His training was in the USA and a black and white group photograph of this period is loose within the first log. In August 1943 he started to train on the Wellington Bomber. At the end of 1943 and first six months of 1944 he was serving with No3 Aircraft Delivery Unit in North Africa. The second log book covers his service with 267 Squadron flying mostly Dakota aircraft on supply missions. Many entries for supply drops, POW extraction and evacuations of wounded and civilians in Yugoslavia and Italy etc. He ended the war flying similar supply drop missions in the Far East theatre of the war. The last entry in the log is in September 1945. Both log books are well filled out with various signatures of commanding officers etc. (2 items)
Royal Canadian Air Force Log Book Air Gunner/ WO John R Johnson. Important Log with SOE and Varsity Operations. After training Johnson takes part four air drop missions over occupied France August/September 1943, 21 Squadron. (all with code names). Later in March 1945 he takes part in Operation Varsity and in April other Ops including "SOE Norway" Supported by collection of original photographs, mostly of Canadian training, captioned and contained in modern file.
