Roger Vandercruse dit Lacroix (1728-1799), ébéniste : maîtrise obtenue le 6 février 1755, commode droite satinée et acajou ouvre à deux grands tiroirs sans traverse et trois tiroirs en ceinture, montants à pans, de trois quart engagés, pieds fuselés, garnitures de bronze: poignées de tiroir, entrées de serrure, bagues cannelées aux pieds, pourtour des faux caissons de tiroir à frise de perles, feuilles d'acanthe en chute. Dessus de marbre blanc veiné gris.Estampillée dans la forme odinaire R. Lacroix avec poinçon de Jurande, époque Louis XVI, vers 1775.H. 89x60x129 cm. Référence: Roger Vandercruse était un ébéniste flamand qui utilisait simultanément ou indifféremment deux estampilles R. Lacroix & R.V.L.C. Il a été un des plus grands ébénistes du XVIIIe siècle, fils d'un ouvrier libre. Il s'intéressait tout particulièrement à la beauté des bois de placage et même si parfois il utilisait la marqueterie à fleurs ou à sujets, il préférait la la géométrie et même produisit un certain nombre de pièces sans décor aucum, laissant les bronzes s'exprimer seuls sur un champ uni. Ses meubles ont presque toujours atteint des prix élevés pour l'époque grâce à leur qualité et leur perfection dans l'ensemble de son œuvre. Il travailla pour la couronne, fut un des fournisseur du duc d'Orléans, et par l'intermédiaire du marchand Poirier, reçut des commandes pour le mobilier de la comtesse du Barry à Louveciennes. Une commode unie moins ornée de bronzes a été présentée chez Mercier & Cie, 59000 Lille (France) le 11 décembre 2016 sous le lot n° 347. Une autre commode en bois de satiné appartenant au Mobilier National, ouvrant à 5 tiroirs et deux portes, venant des Tuileries et orne maintenant le palais de Versailles. Référence: Créée par Heinrich Moser en 1828 et relancée en 2012 sous l’impulsion du groupe familial MELB Holding, H. Moser & Cie. incarne la nouvelle scène horlogère indépendante Contemporaine attachée à la grande tradition de la Haute Horlogerie. Basée à Neuhausen am Rheinfall, près de Schaffhouse, en Suisse, H. Moser & Cie. L’histoire commence en 1828 à Saint-Petersbourg, sous l’impulsion du Suisse Heinrich Moser. Issu de plusieurs générations d’horlogers, il poursuit une ambition : créer des montres qui mettent à l’honneur un artisanat de qualité et des composants haut de gamme. A peine 15 ans plus tard, Heinrich Moser s’impose comme un chef de file incontesté dans le domaine de l’industrie horlogère russe. En 1874, il s’éteint, sans héritier disposé à lui succéder. L’affaire est cédée à une nouvelle direction, qui poursuit l’activité de Moser en Russie, jusqu’à la Révolution d’Octobre, en 1917. Ce bouleversement met un terme à l’histoire de H. Moser & Cie. en Russie. L’activité se poursuivra au Locle, en Suisse, à partir de 1953. En 1979, en pleine crise horlogère, la société entre dans le giron de Dixi Mechanique Group. Il faudra attendre 2005 pour que l’histoire prenne un nouveau tournant. A l’occasion du 200ème anniversaire de Heinrich Moser et avec le soutien de sa famille, H. Moser & Cie revient sur le devant de la scène de l’horlogerie mondiale, multipliant les avancées techniques et obtenant plusieurs distinctions. En 2012, le groupe indépendant et familial MELB reprend la société et ouvre un nouveau chapitre. Aujourd’hui, H. Moser & Cie. est une véritable manufacture horlogère qui produit 1200 montres par an. Elle emploie 55 collaborateurs, développe et produit entièrement ses garde-temps, tous munis de l’un des 8 calibres manufacturés HMC. Au sein de son département de R&D sont élaborés des produits novateurs tels que le module d’échappement interchangeable, le système Double Pull Crown ou encore l’affichage des mois du calendrier perpétuel.
