A late Vic R Naval officer’s sword, very slightly curved, fullered blade, 31½”, by Wilkinson, no 33588 (for 1896) on backstrap, etched on one side with flat topped crowned fouled anchor, and on the other with the R Arms with supporters and motto, all in roped oak wreath panels, regulation brass semi basket guard with crowned fouled anchor, prominent lion’s head pommel and backstrap, wirebound sharkskin grip, in its brass mounted brown leather (replaced) scabbard, with unusual belt loops, Wilkinson logo on the locket, and spring catch into hilt.
