Guinness Journal, a rare 100+ page hand-written journal by J C Haines, a Guinness employee detailing his interviews with bottler's in the Exeter/Teignmouth area dated from Feb 28 1896 to 14 March 1896 when dealing with bottlers, quality control, and contract issues. The journal contains 2 bound in vertical oval labels, one for Bass & Co Stout bottled by R J Marr, Devon & Guinness's Extra Stout bottled by R Johnson Marr, Kingsbridge (both with damage where bound in) also contains a bound-in Starkey, Knight & Ford price list (c1896) with beer labels shown on design along with their trade marks.
