Recovered from Hurricane L1702, crashed near Shaftbury 30th September 1940. Flown by P/O R A Kings 238 Sqn ... 20 x 15 inch, alloy, excavated panel still with traces of paint and markings. Two, possibly bullet, strikes. Rear with label Messerschmitt BF109G (27107). 2 items.
Fine Early 19th Century Scottish Boys Broadsword half size example of an 1831 pattern, Officer's sword. 23 1/4 inch, double edged blade with two narrow fullers. Plated basket hilt with double ring quillons and heart and ball pierced hilt panels. Fluted, half ball pommel. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its steel scabbard with loose hanging rings. Complete in a black, patent leather, baldric belt with cast white metal buckle, slider and end tab, all with thistle decoration. The end mount with maker R W Forsyth Ltd Edinburgh & Glasgow. Hilt polished with some loss of finish. Good clean period example.

Short, steel crossguard, regimentally marked 2.R.14.15. Steel pommel with Inspection stamps. Wooden slab grips with small, circular, cleaning hole. Contained in its steel mounted, leather scabbard. Throat marked L.A. 52.

Steel muzzle ring with downturn quillon and crossguard with upturn quillon. Regimentally stamped 153.R.I.270. Brass, bird beak grip and pommel. One side with grooved panel and steel locking spring. Contained in its brass mounted, leather scabbard, complete with brown leather frog and white wool and braid bayonet frog.

A French late 19thC onyx cased architectural mantel clock for D R Simms, Chipping Norton, circular brass dial with enamel chapter ring bearing Arabic numerals, French eight day movement by A D Mougin, with coil strike, the case formed as a classical temple with fluted brass columns and classical frieze, raised on a rectangular plinth base, with key, 33cm high, 29cm wide, 12.5cm deep.
