Sourcing imagery for his extraordinary animal portraits on location he transports us effortlessly to the plains, savannas and wilderness of Africa and brings us face to face with a host of majestic subjects. Pip has become a world renowned broadcaster, campaigner and educator, and has been a judge for the BBC ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ four times, with the prize for the winning artists being a safari guided by Pip himself; he has led over 30 expeditions to southern and eastern Africa for wildlife artist and photographers. Pip devised a Meridian TV series, ‘A Brush with the Wild’, teaching celebrities to paint wildlife; he co-hosted the series with Anneka Rice, filming on location in Kenya and at Marwell Zoological Park. Pip was the founder and Chairman of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society, the largest of its kind in Europe, and he has been the Artist in Residence at Marwell Zoological Park in Hampshire since January 1999. The Zeiss Ikon has an old repair patch to the bellows and some paint loss. The viewfinder glass is cracked.
An early 20th century five piece Lalique glass dressing table set, comprising an oval tray with a band of moulded flower heads to the edge with blue/green highlights 15 5/8in. (39.7cm.) long; a pair of stepped, open-cruciform candlesticks, 9 1/8in. (23.2cm.) high, faults; and a pair of double rectangular, pin dishes, 4½ x 3½in. (11.4 x 8.9 cm.), each piece engraved "R LALIQUE". (5) * Condition: Candlesticks, Both square sconces cracked with rough restoration, and some chips to bases; one pin tray with tiny frit to edge, other good; tray good with expected wear to underside.

(23.5 cm.), 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) high, faults. * Condition: 6/8mm chip to rim and one tiny frit, no other chips or cracks found.

A George III silver tea pot and stand, John Touliet, London 1791, plain oval form with two girdles, boxwood handle and finial, on an oval stand with four bracket feet, engraved initial "R" on tea pot and stand, the teapot 6in. (15.2cm.) high, gross weight 19.8 tr.oz. (2) * Condition: Clear marks to both. Two small dents a few tiny dings to body of teapot. Ding to tip of spout. Slight dent to one side of rim on stand - the foot beneath is slightly bent inwards.

Reinagh, 1820 for 40 guineas. Lent to the British Institution in 1829". * Condition: Canvas lined. 3/4 inch tear in the canvas through to the lining canvas upper left arm. Light surface dirt and uneven varnish.
