Provenance: Coincraft 30th August 2002 (G235) WIth a cutting from Phoenix. *CR A very attractive example.

This coin was lot 498 in W.H.Lane's 1974 auction of 'The Association Coin', a sale of 1,431 lots from the Association, a 96 gun ship of the line which sank off the Isles of Scilly in 1707. With certificate number 1109. With a copy of the 1974 Auction catalogue in which this coin was illustrated. An annotated copy of the catalogue suggests a price of £12 for this coin. *CR One of the nicest coins from this reign from the wreck with some rubbing, good detail and light 'shipwreck' surface.
