A Spanish M1941 Toledo bayonet with mauser fitting serial number "6641 R" stamped upon both blade and scabbard (blade length 25cm), Crown of the Toledo mark is partially visible but rest of the mark has been heavily rubbed together with a Wilkinson London, Mk II Lee Metford bayonet with leather covered scabbard (blade length 30.5cm). A 1964 Triumph Tiger 90, registration number BSV 957, frame number H36236, engine number H36236, blue. According to the Triumph Certificate of Authenticity and Science Museum Library letter (dated 11th February 1987), this Tiger 90 was assembled at Merridon on 16th September 1964 and was dispatched to the supplying agent Jones, Ronnda on 25th September 1964) whereupon it was sold to a Mr R C Corrie on 28th December 1964. Mr Corrie would register the Triumph on 1st January 1965 carrying the registration number CTX 81C. Believed to be a low mileage example with matching frame and engine numbers, it has recently had an engine rebuild and other replacement parts including cables, front wheelbearings, new headlight and tune up. The vendor now advises us that the Triumph is running well and is ready to be enjoyed. An accompanying history file contains the aforementioned certificate and letter, a list of previous owners, club magazines and expired MOTs. V5C, no MOT, tax exempt See illustration
Robert Morden (British, 1650-1703): a collection of seven 18th century maps, including the counties of Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Nottinghamshire, all uncoloured, and Durham, Lincolnshire, and Northamptonshire, hand coloured, sold by Abel Swale and Churchill, all approximately 38 by 44cm, apart from Kent, 35 by 63cm, all unframed, together with a collection of assorted 18th and 19th century maps, including small county maps, John Cary Oxfordshire, Dugdales and Fullartons, R. Bonne (French, 1727-1795): 'Royaume d' Angleterre, hand coloured, 24 by 35cm, together with a 20th century Administrative County of Lincolnshire map, a 1972 reproduction of Marrat's 1817 city of Lincoln, and O.S.1884 Geological survey of Wymondham, hand coloured, 35 by 49cm. George III sabre by Runkle Solengen A George III 1796-Pattern Light Cavalry Officer's Sword, the blade with single broad fuller, remnants of part blued and gilt finish, engraved to the obverse with crowned GR cypher between pendants and lambrequins and to the reverse with the Royal coat of arms between flowers and trophies of war, engraved maker's mark, ''T.T. Runkel, Solingen'' to the back, the steel stirrup hilt with ornate langets, the quillon with scroll terminal, wirebound fishskin grip, in steel scabbard. The scabbard marked, 'R Johnston late Bland & Foster Sword Cutler and Belt Maker to His Majesty St James's St London'. Blade length 29.25in. (74.3cm)
