Robert Wallace Hester (British, b. 1866), Bishop's Stortford College, signed and titled in pencil, 'Wallace Hester' (in lower margin), etching, 16.5 x 25.5cm together with two other etchings of figures by an archway, and figures on a street, each indistinctly signed in pencil, possibly 'R Gore Goodman' (in lower margin) (3).
A Victorian Aesthetic silver tray of octagonal form, bright cut engraved border with acorns and leaves, fluted rim, turned ebony handles on fluted scroll supports, stood on four rounded feet, R & W Sorley, Glasgow 1894, length 69.5cm, depth 42cm & height 7cm, gross wt. approx. 141oz. Condition - hallmarks well defined, no damage, no repairs, no inscriptions and no evidence of any previous inscriptions, good gauge, general wear to include scuffs, marks and scratches only.
