A George III silver snuff box, by Peter and Ann Bateman, London 1794, oval navette form, the pull-off cover engraved with a rural scene of two huntsmen with their rifles and gun dog, the underside initialled 'JB', length 10.9cm, approx. weight 3.6oz. A mid-18th century silver-mounted agate tontine snuff box, maker's mark W.L only, London circa 1755, rectangular cushion form, chased foliate and scroll decoration, the underside and interior inscribed with the names and dates of death, length 7.7cm., approx. weight 4oz. Tontine is a loan given for life annuities with benefit of survivorship, so called from the inventor Laurence Tonti, a Neapolitan. There is an annuity, after a certain rate of interest, granted to a number of people, divided into classes, according to their respective ages, so that annually the whole fund of each class is divided among the survivors of that class, till at last it falls to one. Four gold diamond and ruby rings to include old cut diamond three stone ring, size L½, 9ct gold ruby and diamond three stone ring, size M, 9ct gold diamond cluster with pierced shoulders, size R and 9ct gold ruby and diamond flower head ring, size NCondition report: Three 9ct gold rings weigh 5.5 grams in total - Diamond cluster has quite a thing band and has signs of possible repair. Ruby flower head is in good condition. Ruby and diamond three stone ring- both diamonds have inclusions. The claw setting is very warn and has some claws completely missing. Diamond three stone- mark is rubbed, but possibly 18ct gold. Weighs 1.6 grams. All three stones are quite heavily included when viewed through a x10 loupe, particularly the centres stone. Setting is also very worn.

Six silver napkin rings (various dates and makers)Condition report: Weight approximately 6ozPair napkin rings both with engraved R initial- hallmarked London 1905. Both have very clear marks, no dents but some light surface scratching all over. Other similar napkin ring with R initial- hallmarked Birmingham 1905. Very clear marks, some heavier scratches to the surface but otherwise good. Oval napkin ring with engine turned decoration and engraved monogram- Hallmarked Sheffield, the date letter has been marked through and difficult to read. The napkin ring itself is slightly bent and misshapen with some light surface scratching all over.Round napkin ring with engrine turned decoration and engraved monogram- Hallmarked Birmingham 1924. Clear marks, some light surface scratching otherwise good. Pinched square shaped napkin ring engraved Mary- hallmarked Sheffield 1919. Makers mark is rubbed but the other markings are clear. Some obvious surface scratches and tiny dents throughout.
