Two blue and white transferware chargers, 19th century, the larger Rogers and decorated with the Zebra pattern, the smaller with figures promenading in parkland, both with large floral rims, and two volumes of A W Coysh and R K Henrywood's Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery, some restoration, 53.5cm max. (4) Provenance: a private collection.
Ten Sèvres plates (assiettes), c.1770-76, decorated with a form roses et mosaïque pattern, with scattered pink roses, the borders with three oval panels of further roses on a ground of flowerheads enclosed in a honeycomb design of oeil de perdrix in blue and puce enamels, interlaced Ls marks and date codes including R and Y, 23.3cm. (10) Provenance: a private collection from Dorset. A number of services of this design were produced in the early 1770s.
A rare English delftware ointment pot, c.1775, of small cylindrical form with an everted rim, painted in manganese with 'The Queen's Dentifrice', 4.8cm high. Cf. R J Houghton & M R Priestley, Historical Guide to Delftware and Victorian Ointment Points, p.29, which details Joseph Hemet's patent of Essence of Pearl Dentifrice to Queen Caroline.

Various 20thC Sitzendorf figures etc., comprising a lady dressed in finery, holding a floral bouquet on a gilt lined ground, 'S' mark beneath, 14cm high, a figure of a gentleman, 'R' mark beneath, another of a figure aside a basket with Dresden marks, a further 'R' porcelain figure group of a child and a candlestick group with double cross sword marks beneath (5).
A 19thC pewter trophy, with inverted stem and circular beaded foot, the egg shaped body engraved Edinburgh University Athletic Club 1872, putting stone, 1st prize R W Urvine, 43ft 4inches, 17cm high. Dr R W Urvine nicknamed Bulldog, Scottish Rugby Football Player 1853-1897, amateur team Edinburgh Academicals, capped 13 times for Scotland 1871, including the 1st ever rugby international for Edinburgh Academicals, his brother was Duncan Urvine, also capped for Scotland. The cup is for the putting stone 1st prize, similar to shot put whilst at Edinburgh University.
