Outing 1529, Howard P27-28 £600-£800 --- This note is in fact one of the newly discovered ‘Spurious Bank’ issues uncovered by Trevor Howard. It appears on page 27-28 of his book and is one of the two types illustrated. The notes were issued and circulated as any other provincial issues, but were not backed by real people or real money, a fact often not discovered for months or even years by the unfortunate holders of the notes.
