With shaped handles and embossed decoration, hallmarks for The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1897, 122g gross, in a case Condition Report: Hallmarks are clear, the maker's mark on the fork is rubbed. The knife is slightly bent upwards at the cutting end. Generally metal has light surface marks and a little tarnished. The case is in a fair condition for its age, the clasp functions , some dents and marks to the suface, a little lose of the syrface material to the base.

Some areas of light woodworm, but nothing that appears active. General knocks and wear throughout commensurate with age and use. Drawers run smoothly. There's a pleasant honey-toned patina. A little bit of lateral movement in joints, but overall the table is sound, solid and ready for use.
