M.15 Prussian Depot Issued Enlisted Mans Field Bluse, shown on pages 80, 81, 82 and 83 of Feldzug 17 this fine example of an M.15 bluse having minor moth nips to the apple green collar area, standard configuration of deep turned back cuffs, fly front, some additional moth damage to the M.15 skirt at the rear of the tunic, complete with its crowned belt hook supports, the grey cotton lining with fitted shoulder boards of Reserve Infantry Regiment 211. Markings to the interior of Clothing Depot of the 2nd Corps District in 1917 with standard size stampings, this is a large size bluse. The shoulder straps are all buttoned down and hand sewn beneath the catchment loops. Nap to cloth excellent, some more light moth to the front lower left skirt as the tunic is viewed.

Lot 187

26th Wurttemberg Dragoons Uniform Grouping, multiple photographs and large description on pages 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 of Feldzug 14, this larger part of the grouping to the Senior NCO of the 26th Wurttemberg Dragoons, comprising blue and yellow cap, depot issue stamped ‘DR26 1ES’ (1st Squadron), cartouche pouch with its white cross strap with the Wurttemberg coat of arms applied. With the group, when obtained by Michael Baldwin there is the enlisted ranks fully engraved sword to Uhlan Regiment No.20 with the Wurttemberg coat of arms in folding shell guard, the blade is magnificent, we can only assume that the owner was originally a trooper in Uhlan Regiment No.20, transferred to the 26th Dragoons also from the State of Wurttemberg and just kept his sword, the sword is complete with its white sword slings. Two drill tunics with a huge amount of markings to the inside edge including his name tag of Unteroffizier Bay, both with army corp markings and both dated ‘1909’ with the black and red lace of Wurttemberg to the collar. Officer quality early pattern greatcoat with collar lace, red patches, NCO’s shoulder board with beautiful gilded furniture of the 26th Dragoons, slight peppering of moth damage to the lower part of the greatcoat. A further pre war light grey service jacket, slight peppering of moth to the front, subdued regimental motifs of the 26th Dragoons to each shoulder board, NCO’s discs to the collar, three rank chevrons to the right hand sleeve in silver lace and finally his blue service dress tunic with the beautifully embroidered in red insignia of the 26th Dragoons, collar discs complete, yellow piped to front skirts of tunic, a fair amount of moth to the lower front edges, accompanied by the two fully described letters in the Feldzug 14 description, one letter dated ‘28th  July 1914’  which is from a solicitor on behalf of a female client for maintenance for a child due to a liaison that came about during  a wedding reception. Second letter dated two days later on the 30th July ordering that all leave for enlisted men and NCO’s has been cancelled, this was due to the deepening situation with the possible arrival of WWI. A highly interesting huge group to one long serving Senior NCO serving with the 26 th Wurttemberg Dragoons.
