Blade is not sharpened, and has very little pitting, and appears generally very clean.The grip has some small losses particularly around the edges and towards the bottom, but is generally intact and firm.The grip is also very firm with no rattle. Report by MWThe leather scabbard has a round flush shape but is slightly misshapen due to age. The serial number on the blade is 97538 which is replicated on the scabbard. The blade is corrosion free and has no nicks to the edge. There is some light scratching to the surface where the blade has been repeatedly drawn/sheathed.

The dial is generally in good condition but there are a couple of small foxmarks on the dial, one at just above the nine o'clock position and some others between the two and four o'clock positions. The column has a dent on the left hand side when looking face on to the clock at approximately the eight-nine o'clock position. The escapement with the glass rod light is intact. The platform has lost a finial at the rear left hand corner. The watch has a general patina of use with areas clearer than others where the clock has been picked up.
