An early 20th century taxidermy group of three good sized Roach, (Rutilus rutilus), mounted in a naturalistic setting, within a bow-front glazed display case with gilt painted annotation "Roach 2lbs 9ozs 3drms, 2lbs 4 1/2ozs, 2lbs 2 1/4ozs, Caught by J. Norris in the Thames at Caversham." bearing a label to top left corner "Preserved by J. Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor St St Lukes E.C." w.82, d.21, h.47cm. Case with tape around top edge.Three large spots where something has been placed on top.Fish condition generally OK, with some light cracks around head and eye areas, and some flaking to undersides.Case slightly tired and with knocks and wear to edges.
A BRIGHT YELLOW METAL OPAL AND DIAMOND STAR PENDANT BROOCH with fine bands of blue enamel to the edges, largest opal approx 1cm diameter, dimensions of the brooch 4.5cm x 3.7cm with a yellow metal trace chain stamped 15ct to the clasp, length 51cm, weight 11gms Condition Report: Very light abraisions to the top of the largest opal, otherwise very good condition. Original bail is lost, a bail has been fashioned from wire. Diamond content less than 0.25cts.
A VINTAGE TUDOR OYSTER SHOCK RESISTING WRISTWATCH in stainless steel. Cream coloured textured dial with Arabic and baton numerals. diameter of the case 2.8cm, diameter of the dial 2.4cm. With a stainless steel expandable 'Expandro' bracelet minimum diameter approx 7.5cm. Numbers stamped to the back of the case 7902 68174. Weight 50.2gms Condition Report: Winds and is ticking. Dial is marked between 5 - 8 possible water ingress. Crack to the 'glass' between 9 -10 and other minor scratches., both the head and the strap have light general scratches indicative of wear.

Nicely made, box clasp works well. light abrasions to the surface of the amethysts. the majority of the amethysts have faded from the original colour seen in the pendant.

THE PEGGY O'KEEFE STEINWAY GRAND PIANO A Steinway & Sons early 20th century overstrung rosewood patent boudoir grand piano, 88 notes model O with square tapering legs, frame numbered 24/2 .05 681, legs stamped 429, 117603, 173cm long x 143cm wide x 90cm high with a two-seater piano stool, her personal collection of vinyl LPs, mostly Jazz and Classical including three rough cuts of Peggy O'Keefe's BBC Sessions from August 1962, a quantity of sheet music, cassette tapes and reel to reels including the Master tape for Peggy O'Keefe's Portrait, 1979 Peggy O'Keefe (1928 - 2019) was a much-loved pianist, musical director, television and radio presenter, who lived in Glasgow for much of her life and worked for both ITV and the BBC. In the 1960s she travelled from her native Australia to London, where Peggy played in the hotspots of the days, with artists like Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson and Cleo Laine. From London she moved to Glasgow, where Peggy's career flourished in every type of venue and context: orchestral concerts, royal performances and charity shows in theatres and cathedrals, castles and concert halls, cruise ships, radio OBs and recording studios. She became a household name and covered a wide variety of musical idioms including opera, light classics, jazz, covers of popular standards, Scots and Gaelic. Condition Report: Available upon request
•DRUMMOND MAYO RSW (SCOTTISH B. 1929) IN THE GARDEN Acrylic on board, signed, 58.5 x 45cm (23 x 17 3/4") Macaulay Gallery and Artist's labels verso Condition Report: On inspection there appears to be a small area of paint loss, approximately 0.5 of a centimetre square in area, located at middle, left of centre. There are 6 or 7 light scratch marks in the pigment located in proximity to the bottom left corner.
CHARLES WILLIAM BARTLETT (BRITISH 1860-1940) BRODICK BAY AND GOATFELL Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1891, 46 x 61cm (18 x 24") Condition Report: Stretcher bar lines are slightly visible recto and there are two small patches verso corresponding to an area of paint loss in proximity to the lower left edge and retouching upper and left of centre. The canvas is a little uneven in places and slightly loose on the stretcher and there are tiny pin holes located at left and right edges at middle and in the bottom left and right corners. There are two small areas where light is visible through the canvas when viewed verso - one with three tiny holes and paint loss located at the centre of the lower half section and the other, more visible with paint loss, located within the top right hand quarter section, at left.
FRED THURLBY (BRITISH 1865-1946) DUNURE JAMES Oil on canvas, signed, inscribed and dated 1916, 51 x 61cm (20 x 24") Bears inscription recto - "Dunure James" 13462 Sire - Baron O Bucklyne 11863 Condition Report: The painting has been lined and there is cracking in the pigment noticeable in some areas of the horse and in much of the lighter toned areas of the sky - the surface in these areas appears slightly uneven in a bubbled fashion. The surface is moderately uneven in a bubbled fashion in a horizontal line, approximately 10 centimetres in length, within the darker lower edge of the horse's main body, and to a much lesser degree, approx. 4.5 centimetres, within the top area of the neck. Generally, there are very light marks and spots over the surface of the canvas.
•ANDRE DE LIEVIN (FRENCH 1910-1976) THE DUNES, ARCACHON Oil on canvas, signed, 46 x 56cm (18 x 22") W.B. Simpson and James Connell & Co label verso Condition Report: There are two small areas where paint loss has occurred and light through the canvas can be seen, whilst not being specifically holed, located in proximity to the top edge in the left hand section. There is a horizontal very slight crack line, approximately 3 centimetres in length, in the area in proximity to to the top left corner. There is a raised line, approximately 9 centimetres in length, running vertically in proximity to the right margin at middle.
SAMUEL PHILLIPS JACKSON RWS (BRITISH 1830-1904) OLD ENGLAND AGAIN Watercolour, signed and dated 1866, 49 x 79cm (19 1/4 x 31") Inscribed with title on label attached verso Condition Report: There appear to be 5 or so small slightly darkish foxing marks located in proximity to the top right hand corner area and a small light blemish mark, approximately no more than 2 millimetres square, located in the top left hand quarter section in the area of the sky above the ship. In this same area, to include the area surrounding the top of the tallest mast, and in the area in proximity to the top left hand corner area, there appear to be a number of very small foxing marks not immediately visible due to the palette tone.

Annan & Sons Ltd label verso Condition Report: On close inspection there is a light diagonal score mark on the surface, approximately 12 centimetres in length, located within the top left hand quarter section. The board is noticeably bowed in a convex manner. The surface is slightly dirty in appearance. .
MARK WILLIAM LANGLOIS (BRITISH 1848-1924) THE POLITICIANS Oil on canvas, signed, 53.5 x 44cm (21 x 17 1/4") Condition Report: On close inspection, but apart from the foreground area depicting the floor, there is a light to moderate degree of cracking in the pigment over the canvas surface. There is a small patch verso which corresponds to a small amount of retouching recto located in the top left hand quarter section, left of middle.

BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH/20TH CENTURY) SHEEP RESTING ON A HILLSIDE Oil on canvas, 76 x 138cm (30 x 54 1/4") Condition Report: The painting has been lined and there is general light cracking in the pigment over most of the surface to a slightly more or lesser degree. There is slightly noticeable a small area of abrasion and crack in the pigment at the bottom edge to the right of centre and a light area of surface abrasion located in proximity to the lower left hand edge.
ROBERT HOUSTON RSW (SCOTTISH 1891-1942) TOWARDS EIGG AND RHUM Oil on canvas, signed, 71 x 91.5cm (28 x 36") Condition Report: On close inspection there is light cracking in the pigment over most of the lighter areas covering the sea and the sky, being most visible along the top section of the canvas. There are pin holes at each of the top corners and one at the top edge, at middle.
•JOHN MACLAUCHLAN MILNE RSA (SCOTTISH 1885-1957) CATTLE GRAZING IN DAPPLED SUNLIGHT Oil on canvas, signed, 61 x 51cm (24 x 20") Condition Report: There are around 10 very small damage marks with tiny paint loss at each located in proximity to the top edge slightly right of centre. There is light cracking in the pigment over the darker areas of the cattle and in general there is light to moderate cracking over the surface area which is not so easy to observe due to the tones and discolouration of the varnish.
SIR JAMES LAWTON WINGATE PRSA (SCOTTISH 1846-1924) HAYMAKING Oil on canvas, signed, 43 x 48cm (17 x 19") Inscribed with title on T. & R. Annan & Sons Ltd. label verso Condition Report:There are two damage areas with light visible through the canvas verso located within the top left hand quarter section where the canvas has been almost but not quite holed through with small areas of related paint loss - the largest measuring 2.5 centimetres on the vertical and 1.5 centimetres on the horizontal (forming a 'T' shape), the other smaller damage area measuring 1 centimetre on the vertical with related paint loss. There are areas of fairly light cracking located within the top right hand quarter section and also running down the right hand stretcher bar line.
JANE MARIA BOWKETT (BRITISH 1837-1891) AN AFTERNOON NAP Oil on canvas, signed with monogram, 61 x 45.5cm (24 x 18") Condition Report:There is light to moderate cracking in the pigment over most of the surface area and there are two small patches verso corresponding to retouching work recto located approx. 8 centimetres up from the bottom edge at centre and the other diagonally 5 centimetres up and right from centre and middle. There is a very small repair up from centre within the bottom left hand quarter section.
JOSEPH HENDERSON RSW (SCOTTISH 1832-1908) BREEZY DAY ON THE BEACH Oil on canvas, signed, 46 x 61cm (18 x 24") Condition Report: On close inspection there are some very light small cracks in the pigment visible over the lower half of the canvas where the impasto is thicker. Otherwise in good condition.
•ASHLEY JACKSON FRSA (BRITISH B. 1940) MOORLAND LANDSCAPE Watercolour. signed and dated 1975, 38 x 67.5cm (15 x 26.5") Inscribed 'Best wishes' with signed and dated drawing of cottages on backing board verso Condition Report: There are two foxing marks located at left at the edge of the lower margin and the other up from there, closer to the bottom left hand corner. There is small light foxing mark in proximity to the top right hand corner area and a few barely visible marks randomly over the surface area. Discolouration to a more or less light degree is noticeable at the corners and to an even lesser degree the edges of the watercolour.
•MAGGIE HAMILTON (SCOTTISH 1867-1952) STILL LIFE WITH BOTTLES AND LEMON Oil on canvas, signed, 46 x 58.5cm (18 x 23") Condition Report: There is an area approximately 1.5 centimetres square of paint abrasion near the lower right edge, a smaller area of the same again at the right edge in proximity to the top right hand corner and very light areas of abrasion to the pigment noticeable top within the top right hand quarter section and along the top of the canvas, the areas affected being only noticeable as they have occurred over dark pigment. There is a tiny spec of paint loss near the bottom of the canvas, left of middle.
•ROBERT RUSSELL MACNEE RSW (SCOTTISH 1880-1952) HORSE AND CART BY A COTTAGE; HORSES WATERING BY COTTAGES Watercolour, singed and indistinctly dated, 16.5 x 24cm (6 1/2 x 9 1/2") (2) Condition Report: Both watercolours each have a slightly concave surface and a few light to moderate foxing marks.
ATTRIBUTED TO JOHN WILSON EWBANK RSA (BRITISH 1779-1847) CONVERSING OVER A BRANCH Oil on canvas, 30.5 x 43cm (12 x 17") St. Andrews Fine Art label verso Condition Report: On inspection there is light cracking in the pigment apparent over most of the area of the sky, and stretcher bar crack lines in the pigment noticeable at the top, left and right margins.

J A HENDERSON TARBET (SCOTTISH C.1865-1937) WALKING HOME FROM THE HARBOUR Oil on board, signed, 49.5 x 34cm (19 1/2 x 13 1/2") Condition Report: Light cracking in the pigment is most evident in areas where the palette is lighter and there is heavier impasto - lower and left foreground areas and much of the sky. Pin hole in the top right corner.
AFTER SIR THOMAS LAWRENCE PRA, FRS (BRITISH 1769-1830) PORTRAIT OF SIR JOHN MOORE (MOORE OF CARUNNA) Oil on canvas, 76 x 63.5cm (30 x 25") Condition Report: On inspection there are a number of small damage/chip and scratch marks over the surface area of the canvas with the largest one, approximately no more than one centimetre square in area which has resulted in an indentation to the surface of the canvas, being located right of centre close to the bottom edge. There is light cracking in the pigment over most of the surface area being more apparent in the lighter areas of the jacket and face and being most noticeable over the area of the forehead. There is an area of what appears to be slight bubbling in the pigment with very small areas of paint loss adjacent to this, located left of centre in proximity to the bottom edge. .
JOSEPH HENDERSON RSW (SCOTTISH 1832-1908) A ROCKY COASTLINE Oil on canvas, signed, 46 x 61cm (18 x 24") Condition Report: On close inspection there are stretcher line marks apparent down each side and along the top with accompanying light cracking in the pigment in places. There are also small areas of fairly light cracking in the area of the sky.
CHARLES LOUIS PHILIPPE ZILCKEN (DUTCH 1857-1930) A DUTCH RIVER LANDSCAPE Oil on board, signed, 18 x 25cm (7 x 9 3/4") Condition Report: There is a light vertical crack in the pigment, approximately 4 centimetres in length, located top right hand quarter section and the board is convexly bowed.
•CECIL ROCHFORT D'OYLY-JOHN (BRITISH 1906-1993) AIX EN PROVENCE Oil on panel, signed, 41.5 x 52cm (16 1/4 x 20 1/2") Inscribed with title on label verso Condition Report:On close inspection there are very thin horizontal crack lines apparent in the pigment which correspond to the grain in the wood panel, the areas where this is not visible being the areas with heavier impasto. There is a small amount of what may be some light lifting in the pigment within the top left hand quarter section but at the same time this looks natural to the style and application of the pigment.
•MARGARET ROSS HISLOP RSA, RBE (SCOTTISH 1894-1972) STILL LIFE WITH PLUMS AND ANEMONES Oil on board, signed, 63 x 51cm (24 3/4 x 20") Condition Report: There are number of tiny brown discolouration marks over the surface area and a suggestion of what may be paint loss, approximately a centimetre in length, located in the light area of the bowl with two plums in the lower right hand section. The board is slightly bowed in a concave manner.
