A rare duo. The 20c. is signed by Bloch. Gebauer 21, 23.
1920, Dec. 20. Cover (reduced at left) from Medellín to Cartagena, bearing "Cliff and Mountains " 30c. on 10c. light brown-red, typewritten surcharge, paying the national postage for the single rate with 3c., both tied by blue duplex datestamp on dispatch, with the vignette also tied by "Cía. Colombiana de Navegación/Aérea/Medellín" ribbon handstamp, and Cartagena boxed receiving datestamp in blue at foot. An exceedingly rare usage of these typewritten vignettes, of which very few were provisionally surcharged to be used on the 20 December Flight, with an extremely small quantity of covers recorded. One of the important rarities of Colombian aerophilately, of great fascination. Cert. P.F. Gebauer 24. Ex Sánchez Vega.
1920, Dec. 20-25. Commercial envelope from Medellín to New York, bearing a magnificent marginal-example of "Cliff and Lighthouse" 30c. on 10c. light brown-red, typewritten surcharge, tied by very elusive "Compañía Colombiana/De/Navegación Aérea/Agencia De/Medellín" large oval handstamp in violet, additionaly franked, for the single external rate, with two National Post 5c. cancelled by indistinct c.d.s. dated 25 December, which also passes through the "Hospital de San Vicente/Medellín" 1c. charity label. "Correos Aéreos/Cartagena" oval cachet on reverse applied to airmail. The only cover known bearing any vignette of this provisional issue and addressed to a foreign destination -its significance is reinforced by the fact that very few vignettes with typewritten surcharge were produced-, and the desirability of this cover is further enhanced by the very rare usage of the C.C.N.A. handstamp of the Medellín Agency (as also stated by Eugenio Gebauer in his catalogue on page 41). One of the greatest aerophilatelic rarities of Colombia. Gebauer 24. Ex Jacobo Neuburger.

One of the key items of French philately. Cert. Bernard and Pascal Behr, Aime and Jean-François Brun, Goebel, signed Aime Brun, Calves and Roumet. Maury 9a.
