An Emerald and Diamond Ring, set with a centre emerald, approximately 3ct, surrounded by small brilliant cut white diamonds, approximately 1ct total, size M, gross weight 7.6g Note: Metal unmarked but tests as 18ct gold The ring presents in condition commensurate with age and moderate usage. There are light marks to the stone but no large cracks or chips and some minor nibbling to the girdle, again commensurate with age and moderate usage. All the stones are securely set and all the claws appear to be present. The small diamonds around the exterior are likewise in good condition with no obvious of damage or previous repair and are all securely set. The ring itself presents well but does show marks commensurate with age and moderate wear as previously stated. Potential bidders are strongly advised to study all images closely and please note we are not qualified to grade stones. The centre stone measures 10.54mm x 10.24mm, it is not possible to gauge the depth of the stone due to the gallery.

The posters are full page. The spine is partially broken and some pages are loose. The front cover has a sellotape repair to part of the right edge. Bumping to all four corners. Some creasing/light scratching to both covers. The posters appear to be in good condition generally.
A 19th Century Ebonised and Gilt Framed Rectangular Wall Mirror of "Rococo" Design, with sea scroll and leaf carved frame, inset with three plain mirror panels, 26ins x 69insAssumed originally to have been all gilt, large areas of this mirror have now been over painted in dark green. The frame is carved and there are losses. Some horizontal cracks. Mirror plate appears to be in reasonably good condition, although grey with some light breaking down of the silvering.
An Edward VII Silver Mounted and Leather Covered Stationery Slope and Mixed Silverware, the stationery slope by J Batson & Son, London 1905 with floral and scroll cast mounts and engraved with oval cartouche, floral garlands, scrolls and ribbon ornament 3.5ins x 4.5ins x 5.25ins high, an Elizabeth II silver mounted rectangular desk calendar, Birmingham 1953, 6ins wide x 4ins high and two silver capstan pattern inkwellsThe silver mounted and leather covered stationery slope - the floral and scroll mounts to the left corner of the top of the box are lifting. Some light rubbing to the engraved decoration and the hallmark which are struck on the top left corner. Hallmarks also struck on the lower left corner with the makers marks somewhat indistinct. General wear to the leather covering - small horizontal tear top left side and general stains and bubbling throughout. The interior has a simple wood lined compartment. The desk calendar - some scattered minor dents and light rubbing to mounts. Hallmarks struck to the side. This is on an ebonised casing the interior of which now has changeable cards. There are two capstan inkwells, one with reeded mounts which has a few minor dents. The other with reed and ribbon mounts which has two crease dents and slight movement to the hinge.

Sporadic surface imperfections including the odd brown spot, particularly in the lower half of the picture, and some minor nicks and scratches in evidence. Patch where the varnish appears opaque in the top left hand corner approx 8cm from top and 4cm from left hand edge, and a similar mark towards the right hand edge. Patch of abrasion with small amounts of associated paint loss approx 5cm from the top edge just left of the centre, and a further similar patch of abrasion approx 10cm to the right of this, with further tiny losses in the general vicintiy - possibly scraped against something? Very faint linear rub? marks running vertically down the right hand edge. Not examined under UV light.
John Carter (1922-2004) Gordon on the villa patio Signed and dated (19)85, oil on canvas, together with a further two oil portraits of Mr Fox seated in a chair and "Tom", 58cm by 71.5cm and 49.5cm by 39.5cm and 40cm by 32cm respectively (3) Provenance: From a friend of the artist Born in 1927, John Carter grew up in Poplar in the East End of London. Producing a panorama of the docks ablaze when working as ‘Lad Messenger’ in the Blitz, Carter’s lifelong love of painting was borne. In the early 1950s he had a joint exhibition with John Shepherd and Henry Moore, as well as exhibiting solo throughout his career. After moving around London and then Suffolk, John settled in Spain where he took advantage of the natural light to paint seascapes, landscapes and life studies.

Mike Wilks (b.1947) City Jungle Initialled and dated (19)80, gouache, 47.5cm by 30cm Mike Wilks was born in London and studied at a junior art school before attending Croydon College of Art. After working as a graphic designer for several years he founded his own design company, which flourished and later allowed him to resign and concentrate on painting and drawing. After publishing a number of best-selling books, Wilks became the focus on an award-winning BBC arts documentary Mike Wilks - Making His Mark. Since then, he has continued to write, paint and draw, and his works can be found in public and private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA. Some general light dirt and debris beneath glass. Some very light time staining to sheet most evident around the edges of the sheet and the edges of the cut out sillouette of the skyline, but the work is executed on a cream medium. The odd tiny faint spot in the background. The cut out area has raised slightly, but this is possibly by design. In a generally good and bright overall state of preservation. Significant amount of white paint? splash/splatter marks, most notably concentrated to the lower right hand corner but not exclusively, which extend across the painting sporadically. Areas of significant craquelure within the gentleman's black clothing, some of which appears to have been filled in in extensive patches, and some where the background is showing through the cracks (see images). Finer craquelure within the flesh of his face and his hands (see images). Hole in the canvas to the left of his head with associated paint losses around the edges of the hole. Significant patch of paint loss as a result of a scrape to the forefinger of his hand on the cane, with depression to canvas in this area and linear scrape marks extending in an upwards arc away from this patch to the sitter's shoulder, and other similar scrapes and rubs in the vicinity and elsewhere on the canvas (see images). Losses around the entire edge of the canvas. Other surface imperfections including nicks, scratches and losses in evidence across the canvas. Not examined under UV light.
