A sapphire and diamond three stone ring Centering an oval mixed-cut sapphire flanked by two round brilliant-cut diamonds, to a tapered 18k gold shank, sapphire weight approx. 1.99ct, total diamond weight approx. 0.66ct N.B. This was purchased as a Ceylon sapphire. CONDITION REPORT: In overall good condition. With general scuffs and wear in line with use. Wright Marshall Ltd can comment on diamond colour and clarity, however, please be aware these are guidelines and are not guaranteed. The diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, clarity approx. VS1-SI1, colour approx. G-I. The sapphire is a light blueish-purple, with verticle colour zoning seen through a 10x loupe through the table along with some characteristic inclusions. Two minor chips to table facets edges, seen through 10x loupe.

The power of Owen's poetry is as significant today as it was when first written, under the encouragement of Siegfried Sassoon (who wrote the introduction to this posthumously published collection), in the trenches of Flanders, mostly in 1917 and 1918. Owen was killed one week before the armistice was signed in 1918.
